Hi, I just graduated college last month. I got my degree in criminal justice and I am 23 yrs old. I come from a military home. Both of my parents retired a couple of yrs back. They were both enlisted. I was wondering, what would be a good job oportunity in the AF and is it best that I go enlisted then get commissioned or should I just go straight to OTS? My parents say go straight into OTS because being enlisted your basically treated like dogs. I would like to go in enlisted 1st because I would apperciate enlisted more. But could any of you please tell me what I could do in the AF with a criminal justice degree and what do i have to do to pass the PT test. Thank you :)

It started when Hezbollah began launching more than the average amount of missles into Israeli towns. Israel invaded southern Lebanon to remove the terrorists. The war was not against Lebanon or its civilians, but againsts terrorists. So why do people call Israeli generals war criminals and Olmert an idiot? I just don't get it!

Why is my pay check 450 dollars short. I have not added any allotments. And I wasn't overpaid in the toon of 450+ dollars ever? How can they just change my pay like that. I didn't get busted and also get BAH and BAS on top of my base pay. I can't see why it was deducted because on my end of month it says I was supposed to get the normal amount I get mid month. Now I see on my LES that I was supposed to get 1072 and now im 460+ short dollars short.

I hate going to finance because even if they do help me it's not going to be in enough time for me to get paid on Friday and therefore I will likely have to wait until the first this sucks.

My husband is in boot camp right now and will then go on to AIT. I understand he will get to fill out a "wish list" as to where he and I and our two sons would like to be stationed. Can anyone give any personal advice about the best bases to pick??? I am looking for bases, LESS known to deploy their soldiers, close to other stores and communities, good warmer weather, newly remodeled housing, those types of things....... Please give me your advice!? Some places we have talked about, but know nothing about are, Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Hawaii.

I was in the military for 5 yrs I did a tour in Iraq and then I got out for my son. But everytime I read something that has to do with the military or anything in regards to it I have this overwhelming feeling to go back. I know the risks but I like the commrodry that goes with it. I have a good job and wonderful family but nobody besides me really realizes how much I miss it. Let me know what you think!

If I would graduate West Point, go into the 82nd Airborne Division and then become a Ranger (hypothetically) would I carry as much or more honor and respect than going to the Naval Academy and becoming a Marine. If I am looking for a branch to be proud of and will help me in my civilian life afterwards or as an FBI HRT, which would be better for me, the Rangers or the Marines? Sua Sponte and Semper Fidelis.

Thank you so much! God Bless the United States Marine Corps, the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, and all the allied fighting forces striving to free our world from terror.

Two gunmen on a motorbike have killed two school girls and wounded six others as they left their school south of the Afghan capital, Kabul, officials say. The attack in Logar province came at about midday as pupils were leaving. Officials say the gunmen waited for the girls before spraying bullets into the all-girl school and escaping. It is not clear who carried out the attack.

Yeah, only Taliban or Al Queda are this low.

I was in Iraq and I was very sad to see the poverty the people live in. I shed tears for the innocent children who were in the middle of our selfishness and our disregard for life.

To this day I don't even know if it was right to invade Iraq or if we should have left it alone. But I can tell you that I saw first hand how grateful some Iraqis feel towards Americans.

When they begged me for a bottle of water my heart broke. Many people might disagree with the war and I disagree with it too but the innocent people needed help. They need to be freed from the iron hand of Sadamm.

Maybe it was none of our business to help them because many civilian/soldiers lives are/were in jeopardy but please don’t feel the war is completely in vain.

From the very beginning, the US started the Afghanistan adventure on a very narrow minded policy based on taking revenge for the 9-11 tragedy. The very fundamental question should have been asked In fact, the US policy revived the dying warlords, robbers, drug lords, murderers, rapists who were all put in check by the Taliban prior to US intervention. The situation is such that now, the more the conflict is broadened the more the warlords, robbers, drug lords, murderers, rapists will benefit. It is very simple. The more bombs = more $$ for the warlords. More insecurity = More $$ for the private security firms. More Bombs = More $$ for the Private Armies. More bombs = More salaries for the Afghan Government officials. More Bombs = More Salaries for the Contract Workers
More Bombs = More Salary for the UN Workers.
But unfortunately the only big losers in this dirty conflict are the US and NATO soldiers and the innocent Afghan population.

I had been very interested in security since the September 11 attacks and wanted to step into it as a my career.
Ever since National Geographic Channel's broadcast of "Kill Zone Iraq", I had been really interested to work as a private security contractor in hostile environments like Afghanistan and Iraq despite contractors' lives are always at risk! It is not just the huge money which motivates me but it's the nature of the job which interests me! I'm looking for the 'real deal'!
I wanted to play a big role in helping with the reconstruction efforts in war-torn nations! I hate sitting back and watch the news everyday and not play a part in it!
I had also served in the military for 2 years in my country and had being taught military tactics, weapons' handling and also some counter-terrorism tactics! But I don't know if all that is enough to get me a job at Hart Limited!
I had sent in my application and still waiting for a reply!
I wanted the job really badly!
