Civil war
no war is civil
civil people do not deny others their right to life
killing is never moral, no matter how just the casue
there are only wars that put brother against brother
which is shameful, because is thicker than water

i want to see if people will stick around after they answer to change and debate with me.
Also, any comments are welcome.

I mean that is what the prez has just said is his ideal. What he envision's for Iraq. I don't see any point to it. In spite of the economic success of S. Korea, we are still offically at war with the North. There is no DMZ in Iraq. These religious idiot's live in the same nieghbor hood's to each other. Are we planning to be there the next three hundred year's like the British in North Ireland? Seem's like that and I say heck no! No more. Let these jerk's kill each other until the exhaust themselve's. Let's leave Iraq and concentrate on the real war in Afaghanstan!

My ex-spouse was in the military and recently died in a horrible accident, his death was non-service related but he was serving on active duty for almost 12 years before the accident. He was not married at the time of his death. My question is, are our children still entitled to survivor benefits from the military & the government, and if so, what benefits are they entitled to? Thanks in advance for your help.

*FYI... he died while on active duty in the Navy, in another country.

my husband got an article 15 and we are afraid that they will dock his pay for a little while... we were told that if you set up an allotment for X amount of dollars, that the military can not change, tamper, or deduct from the alloment... is this true?

we live paycheck to paycheck and we have to make sure that we have enough money for diapers, food and other survival items... thanks

I don't really understand why if we had a civel war in America and it turned to be souch a great country that other places don't get the same opportunity. Is it really a bout the people or is it about their resources. It's really a 2 question, question because I don't see the interest in the democratic process in other places, for example, Africa.

Some of this footage in Iraq surprised me. I wouldn't expect a normal Molotov cocktail to be able to do this, let me know what you think. Is this just gasoline and oil, or did they add something else? If they did add something, what do you think they are using?

Ive been in for 8 years and the only time i saw support was when 9/11 happened. why is Anna Nicole dying more important than an 18 year old kid on his first tour. She gets weeks of news coverage and he can even get his name mentioned ...

I fully understand that they are excellent soldiers and hard workers, but what is their role- do they do anything different to a normal infantry unit? How would a British Officer's job with them differ from the same job with an ordinary British regiment?

Excuse my ignorance but I just want to know as I have seen a few questions relating to them lately.

Thanks!

Sometimes I feel they are part of the problem not the solution. If they didn’t volunteer they wouldn’t be over there.

Obviously they are not fighting for our freedoms. They are fighting for George Bush, Dick Cheney and Don Rhumsfeld

it seems that they are everywhere, pist off and upset that they went to war on false pretenses, lies. (troops words, not mine)and yes, we are talking about iraq, not afghanistan. HUGE difference. who do they think they are speaking out and complaining?? and these generals speaking out against the war, when the president wants their valid opinions, he will tell them what it is, right?? "haliburton is robbing our country blind" " haliburton makes tons more money for driving the same runs we do" ...........what a bunch of cry babies right? next they will want to enjoy the same health benefits as our politicians do (90 days in, full QUALITY, 100%coverage for life) when they get home. they need to shut up and do as they are told just like those know it all generals. the president is the decider!!! comander and chief!!! the president is a brilliant mastermind !!! these winey comlpaining troops needs to just give it another 20 years to work, what the worst that could happen, right????

my boyfriend of 3 years just got back from boot camp on may 4th. we spent about 2 weeks basically living on top of eachother which was nice but at the same time a little too much. then he went away to report to his unit for the weekend and came back a different person. he didnt call at all when he was away and for a day after he came back he didnt call either. finally he called last tuesday said he was in boston (we live in southern nh, and hused to live in boston) and swore that he would call me the next day. he didnt call until friday and i asked him when i'd see him again and he got mad so i said that i was going to a party that night and busy. i left my phone on vibrate and didnt answer all night because i wanted him to know how it felt to not answer the phone and sure enough he called 6 times that night and 3 the next morning, when i called him back on saturday he was very suspcious and seemed pissed off.

about the troops in Iraq? I mean no one donates money for them or offers them any special benefits? They have student discounts all over the place but when we ask for military discounts they laugh. Just recently I went to the movies and asked if they had military discounts but they didn’t they only had student discounts. I'm pretty sure the college kids deserve it better than the poor veterans.
When I was fighting in Iraq I wanted Americans to show their gratitude but it felt like they didn’t care. I think the people need to give the soldiers of this war far more appreciation for what they have been through.

I visited Gettysburg for memorial day weekend and it's crazy to compare war then and war now. Back then soldier fought soldier. If they couldn't compete in terms of numbers or firepower, they retreated; rather then going after civilians of the other side. In that battle, at Gettysburg only ONE civilian died, and it was from a stray bullet through a door. Even the Japanese in WWII attacked a military target rather than a civilian one. Does it bother anyone that now in todays modern war against terrorism, we're fighting cowards who hide behind and kill civilians rather than fight face to face with our soldiers?
