1) How much would the reserves pay for a E-2 or E-3?
2) How good is the medical insurance? What about for spouses? How much do you pay monthly?
3) What are the chances of being called into active duty?
4) And what is the time committment?

My fiance is thinking about doing the reserves. I just want to get some details down, although we are going to speak with a recruiter soon. Any help is appreciated. Thanks all!

I just want to know ahead of time so I can start thinking of my options before making any decisions since I would be letting go of some great opportunities that have been offered to me.
(I don't want to talk to a recruiter since I don't want to feel pressure to take a certain path). Thanks in advance to those who answer my question.

As I know, France was and still a super power and pretty affective on the planet, but how come they lost all the wars according to history? I mean their weaponaries and war tech are comparable with other NATO and first world countries, but they could suffer a defeat frm those behind developed countries. Why? I feel bad for them

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Fourteen U.S. soldiers were killed by bombs and small-arms fire in Iraq over the weekend, the U.S. military said Sunday, as factional violence continued to ravage soldiers and civilians alike. A car bomb killed 10 people and wounded 27 at an outdoor market in Balad Ruz Sunday, according to a Diyala province security official. The explosion came shortly after noon (4 a.m. ET) as the market, just east of Baquba, was packed with shoppers, police told The Associated Press. In another market attack in Baquba, gunmen fatally shot two civilians, the Diyala official told CNN. Also near Baquba, gunmen set up a fake police checkpoint just west of the city Saturday evening and killed three Iraqi civilians and wounded five others, the official said. The attacks came amid a weekend of violent clashes between coalition forces and insurgents in Diwaniya, Falluja and eastern Baghdad's Sadr City neighborhood.

Serious answers only. No bashing or you will receive a negative rating. Be mature, please. In your opinion, has there been anything positive from America's occupation of Iraq?

i want to join the army but im 35 lbs overweight and i don't like working out, i hate working out.

why does every soldier have to be fit, can't they put guys like me in a tank, driving trucks around or in trench with a rifle somewhere. it doesn't take a six pack to shoot a gun.

maybe they would meet the recruitment goals if they weren't so picky.

I recently got out of the Army after 9 years and moved to the SW Houston area. The reason I got out is so I could spend more time with my wife and 2 year old daughter. Year long deployments to Iraq aren't cool at all. Since I've been out, I've had nothing but bad luck. I've been looking at alot of jobs but they don't offer enough to support my family, my household goods got shipped to the wrong place, and I had to pay to get them to my apartment, and the VA Loan which is supposed to be a great thing, really isnt. I qualified for a whole $95,000 with 6.5% interest rate. The houses in this price range are in trashy neighborhoods or they are in really bad shape. I want the best for my family, and I just think the Army should have done more to help us out since I dedicated 9 years of my life to them. Does anyone have any advice, or has anyone had similar problems???????????

I mean it took 2-4 years and 10 different countries to take them out and ...Why were though so powerful? why did it take so long for so many countries to win? I mean germans got owned at the end ,but they killed overall about 20 million soldiers(non-germans).
