Would President Bush have brought the troops home then or would he, in his stubborness, have demanded they stay thus sacrificing nearly our entire army?

Knowing Bush's stubborn antics, that fool would probably keep our men and women there..

And, because of the lack of funding there are debates on whether or not the government should cut every service member's paychecks in half. As if we were all made of money. Studies have shown that the majority of service members live in poverty.

$200.00 - $400.00 a month isn't going to support a single couple, let alone a family of 3.

Amazingly enough, it actually costs money to fly or sail our military forces to or from a warzone. And THAT money is in the military budget. From any other source, would be (by law) Misappropriation of Government Funds. Guess your scenerio is a little more than slightly bias and not well thought out at all.
So, to answer the first question -- you asked two. The answer is, the Democratics "controlling" congress would then go down in history as being the biggest disaster to have ever hit these shores, both militarily and politically. As myopic as they appear to be, I pray that the morons aren't that incredibly stupid.

its ironic...i have wondered that myself and obviously we just don't know. i am so wanting our troops to get out of there but i just don't want it to be that way...it would just be inhumane to do that to our troops. so i was happy that they were trying to do something about this war and getting our troops home but not this way... with my husband there i have a hard time sleeping and while the democrats were in the process of trying to get the bill passed with the time-line and funding threats i was terrified thinking oh shi!...this would be just like Vietnam and our guys would have to get out with the terrorists at their feet nipping at their heels but on the other hand i am enraged about the 15 month extension and the troop surge which was to much to late and is just almost sending our troops to slaughter and i know i will get 'thumbs down' for saying that but its heart breaking knowing friends who have been killed and with my husband being there and our son who is 4 asking just this evening if daddy remembers him and is scared that the bad guys will take daddy from us...kids shouldn't be concerned about that and i don't watch the news in front of him or intentionally discuss my fears or concerns in where he can hear me.

i am really not sure what would have happened but i am glad it didn't get cut off but i am ready for our soldiers to get home already...

If Bush killing off the entire army in this manner is a likely possibility, then how irresponsible are the democrats for trying to see that happen?
