When General Chesty Puller, was surrounded on all sides with heavy North Korean Soldiers, threatening to be over run, what did he tell his men that were all gathered around him, as he stood on the tree stump? I don't think it was an official statement, but it sounds just like him! Any takers?

Women are a very important part of this country. They are nurturing, often times peacefull, and they run the household. However; when it comes to the army, I believe we have lost our ways. Yes It would, "pollitically correct, " to allow women in the army. But is it right? If men and women are truelly equal, why are men forbiden to hit them? The answer is because the two sexes are very different. Man has the duty to step up( as his forefathers did) and fight against forein adversaries. Many nations would also view this as cowardly to send women to fight for the U.S. Women are bared from the front lines, but in Iraq there is no front line. What do we do now? Will us men sleep better at night knowing that women are getting shot at by terrorists? This has nothing to do with which sex is better, this has to do with honor for ones country and the bravery of its men.

...that a letter writer is looking for a booty call or vice-versa? A lot of the writers feel compelled to do so out of a sense of duty.

How can anyone assume that a soldier receiving a letter from a stranger back home is "looking"?

Does a military spouse cheat when their significant other is away?

Aren't these stereotypes as old as war itself?

If *I* were to write to a soldier it would be out of a sense of duty, to let him know that he has America's support. Should a spouse left back at home feel otherwise, then is it right that *they* married into the military?

Does anyone else think the marines get too much credit for everything?? I know they are supposed to be the "elite" but you almost never hear someone mention the Army. It's always "marines did this", "marines did that", blah blah blah.

Well what about the grunts in the Army?? Why don't they get the credit they deserve? It seems like everyone idolizes the Marines but forgets about the Army.

I'm 18 years old and engaged to a good man in the army. He is currently stationed in yongsan korea. He wants me to move there with him if possible so we can get married and be together. The only thing I'm a little worried about is not having a job or anything to do there because I haven't even started my education towards my career yet. In the future, I want to be a teacher or nurse. I'm currently a CNA now and I have a lot of experience tutoring/helping students. I was hoping there would be an alternative for me, education wise if I joined my fiance in korea. How did others go about achieving an education while being married to a someone in the military? Did they have to put it on hold, or did they already have their career started?

terrorism? Saddam was our friend when he was the enemy of our enemy. Before he was elected, George W. Bush said he was not going to get involved with nation building. We could have bought all the oil we need for one trillion dollars and counting. It will be at least two trillion before we leave. A man who never served active duty( I served in Vietnam) is having others die for his flawed plan, and to save his legacy. Why is there not more moral outrage aimed at this hypocrite?

I am engaged to a wonderful man in the army but because we are only 18, people put down our relationship and underestimate the longevity. Why do they do that? As far as I know, there are many people who marry young in the military and they love each other very much, but somehow, we are not taken seriously at all. They look at us like we are a bunch of kids. Why? I think it just depends on maturity and love relationship.

In reading up on the American civil war, i am trying to find a legal justification for the burning of Atlanta, but can't. My history professor insists the Union was justified in its actions. Could the burning of Atlanta be concidered a war crime? I suppose the Unions and Confederacy were equally guilty in mistreatment of POWs....But it just seems that history books play down the way the union mistreated southerners..My Prof insists i am mistaken-for one thing, he maintains the south had no right to declare independence- I think their action was actually supported by the Constitution...Again, my Prof insists i am wrong...
