If you are thinking of joining the Army, please DON'T! There are many Army soldiers getting sent overseas in the desert and they're getting killed, sometimes for NOTHING! If you want a GOOD PAYING job, go into the Air Force. They have 5 years of hefty pay raises coming to them, and so far, the AF is the best payed branch of service. The AF also treats you with more respect, and if you are like me and read the airforcetimes, then you would probably know that Air Force Security Police Force are training the Army for overseas combat. The Air Force is a very good, and well trained branch of military service, and are very dignified. In fact if you want to, for more military information, try the following website:

The first guy has your numbers...
Don't listen to that Air Force crap. All military branches have the same pay scale. The Air Force is not better trained in combat than the Army, that is just silly. And no, their "security forces" aka runway rent-a-cops do not train Army units for combat. They may assist in the training by delivering water and supplies but that is the role of the AF in land warfare. If AF training is so good, why does the Army not give credit for AF basic training and retrains them all to the Army standard.
Nothing against the Air Force, but to insinuate that they are somehow better war fighters than the Army is just stupid.
