Women are a very important part of this country. They are nurturing, often times peacefull, and they run the household. However; when it comes to the army, I believe we have lost our ways. Yes It would, "pollitically correct, " to allow women in the army. But is it right? If men and women are truelly equal, why are men forbiden to hit them? The answer is because the two sexes are very different. Man has the duty to step up( as his forefathers did) and fight against forein adversaries. Many nations would also view this as cowardly to send women to fight for the U.S. Women are bared from the front lines, but in Iraq there is no front line. What do we do now? Will us men sleep better at night knowing that women are getting shot at by terrorists? This has nothing to do with which sex is better, this has to do with honor for ones country and the bravery of its men.

Firstly we are forbidden to hit anyone this includes men hitting men, although it is looked upon with more despise if a man hits a women due to a women generally being less physically strong than a man. However when you have guns, tanks and god knows what else this doesn't really come into it. I have values as does everyone else and beleive women are to be treated with kindness and the likes.

I also agree with stepping up and would do so if my country ever came under threat but at the same time I know that help in any way is beneficial whether it be by a male or female and every person should have the right to serve or defend their country. I don't think anyone would sleep well thinking of people being shot at whether male or female but I do know that people would sleep better knowing that all which can be done to preserve the way of life we have is being done.

The courage of men will show when they are not afraid of being over shun by a women and both can sit side by side knowing they have a place and choice in protecting what they love and cherish. After all if all we have is lost by us and taken by other men simply because we didn't let women get involved, wouldn't that be a more demoralising tale to tell.

I sense Insecurity and fear! Where have you been? This is the Twenty First Century! Women have been in the mlitary every since they were formed! Ever hear of the Amazons? Queen Nzinga, Queen Caliphia? Please, this patronizing inferiority complex is a sign of sheer weakness. Some in the recent Gulf Wars have been injured on duty, lost limbs and everything else.

Now if you personally feel more comfortable with a trully Roman Army then help yourself! Every man gets to have a man that loves him and be a man's man and a woman to reproduce his progeny in civil union for that purpose only! If you are a downlow type of guy. Be real about it and don't fake!

Women are not going to go wimpering back to their homes being the Stepford wives of your nightmares for them With No money of their own, beaten, misused and abused, treated like chattel and owned by a man! They would rather die first, especially those that were born in America! Would you rather see your own mother treated like that? Women were created as equal partners with men and some men and low life women Need to recognize that fact! Not < or >. but =^ Pallas Athene's All up in Here up in Here! Will go all out!

Some of you people don't realize that some women are stronger than others. Women have as much right as men do to serve in the Military. If they want to fight for theirs and their childrens freedom let them. Some women are stronger than some men, that goes to tell you that women can do what men can. So there you go, let women do what they want.

For the 17 years I had served in the army,I had come across many females that I respected for they had done and outstanding job. In Iraq my platoon had a female medic, she did things that some men would not do,My opinion is that you should enlist,go over there and get the true answer for yourself.

I am a male soldier and I have worked with many females. I say yes they should be. In fact, I hope my daughter will serve in the Army or Marines one day. If you are a man and do not want women in the military then join.

I don't think women should be in the regular military, but here's why:

If I have learned anything from all the martial arts movies I've watched, and all the Japanese anime I've been forced to endure over the years, it's that women make awesome ninjas.

So, what we need to do is train the women in the military to be ninjas, and send them all in before the regular ground troops. All we'd need the men for is to wipe up the mess, because the ninjas would slaughter the enemy with extreme prejudice.

I endorse female ninjas in the military. Vote Patfish, '08.

As long as standards (specially physical standards of some given military jobs) are NOT lowered so that they can serve then it is fine, problem I have with women in the military is that some got in due to lowering of some physical standards of some military jobs/positions so they could make it.

that is just wrong! since it will put them AND the team they may happen to be-in in peril!

I have no problem with women serving, just be allow to IF you can really cut it, and NOT make it easy on the acceptance tests just to fill quotas or political agendas, that is not beneficial to the service, the country or even the women themselves.

Yup. All services have lowered there passing standerds so women can pass. You can NOT sacrifice your militaies capability for "equality". Women can still serve in non-dangerous postions i think though but not to fight

I am SO tired of this on-going debate. Women serve just as well (and sometimes better) than men. They shouldn't be denied entry into the military because they have a *gasp* vagina. How silly.

They have the right to serve but from a survivability stand point they should be barred. Lets face it women are the ones who can carry babies. Therefore since guys are less involved in that process after conception the woman has far more value to a society that wants to survive. Yes they are far more than baby factories but at the end of the day they are still more important than men.
