Why is my pay check 450 dollars short. I have not added any allotments. And I wasn't overpaid in the toon of 450+ dollars ever? How can they just change my pay like that. I didn't get busted and also get BAH and BAS on top of my base pay. I can't see why it was deducted because on my end of month it says I was supposed to get the normal amount I get mid month. Now I see on my LES that I was supposed to get 1072 and now im 460+ short dollars short.

I hate going to finance because even if they do help me it's not going to be in enough time for me to get paid on Friday and therefore I will likely have to wait until the first this sucks.

Did you take any college classes using TA and not finish the class or not fax in your grades? They will take the cost of the class out of your pay in a heartbeat for school debt. Look at the bottom of your LES also. There should be a note about why your pay is short. Always read all notes on your LES even if you think they are always the same, they aren't.
I also agree with the guy saying your pay is jacked up and finance sucks isn't going to get your pay figured out any quicker. Just go see them.

On your LES there are 3 boxes, the first is all you were paid, the second is all deductions for taxes and premiums for SGLI. If you had a deduction for a pay advance or other debt to the military such as lost equipment on a field problem, it will be listed there. The third box has alloments and how much. . It will say amount and to whom. In the big space of the lower half of the page is an explanation for deductions and allotments and when they are started.
I'd definitely hit Finance so that they can get started on it to get it into you next paycheck and to make sure it isn't a perpetual deduction. If you have an outstanding civilian debt that has gone into collection, they can have your pay garnished to get back their money. Make sure someone else's garnishment has been miskeyed onto your paycheck by some fat fingered finance clerk.
IF it is putting you in a serious financial hardship, you can go to ACS and apply for a loan from them. Those are intrest free for emergencies and they are prorated over a set number of months (usually 12 unless you have less than that term left in service) to be paid back as deductions straight from your paycheck.

Bottom of LES states what was taken if it's not in your deductions.

Everyone hates going to Finance.....suck it up and get it over with, otherwise don't complain about your pay missing a few hundred dollars. ;)

Maybe you were overpaid a while ago...and they're now just taking it out? That happened to my husband early this year.

Instead of posting this question here, why don't you just go down to finance (Ramstein if you're in Germany) and ask them. They'll be able to give you straight answers.

If you want it fixed you better go to finance wether you like it or not. It may take a while, but they'll get it done.

IF you have outstanding debt - they can yank it right out without notice.

Go to finance asap...

Sucks.

Although you hate going to finance, it's your pay.
Saying it sucks won't do a damn bit of good.
