Think about it Bill Gates is taking all those billions and billions giving it to a bunch of corrupt African leaders and it will never get to the aids victims besides we have people in this country with aids also. Has Bill Gates or Warren Buffett ever considered this? Have they ever considered that if it were not for the fighting men they would now be speaking German and living in fear of the Gustapo and living off what the Nazis gave them? Have they considered that if it werent for these men sacrificing all terrorist would have their heads on a platter? I have written a letter to them telling them this. Do I think it will matter to them No. People such as Bill Gates and Warren Buffett although brilliant at what they do tend to be idiots when it comes to the real world. Well just a thought what do you think of my ideal?

Being stationed in Iraq, Medics are being tasked out to various details and missions. One such mission is to stand guard at a gate. Does that not completely void what a medic is for? Is that not an offensive posture? As far as I was aware, Medics are not to be placed in situations where they are the aggressors as they are not specifically trained for that. Any help with this dilemma would be greatly appreciated and if you could give me some references, I would love to read them. Thank you

I'm a LT (SWO) in the IRR. I'm guessing I would just contact my detailer, but I was wondering how long the process takes. Also, would I still be eligible for the SWO bonus coming in from the IRR? I resigned my commission. I was selected for DH school before I left, however, I didn't attend. I got out when I was due to cycle to my shore tour. I don't know if this throws another monkey wrench in, but I'm actually a Surface Nuke. I did read a message online, which makes it appear it can take up to 6 weeks…longer if you're trying to come back into anything other than your original designator.

Looking to name my Dodge Ram something amazing. I want people to cry when they hear my engine getting closer to them. I want to give it a name, one that will bring fear to the hearts of children, and bring villagers to their knees in prayer. I want to first gather a list of suggested names, and then have people vote on those names.
So far the suggested names are:

The Black Satyr
The Beast
Venom
Lucipher

Suggestions will be greatly appreciated. (btw, it's black)

My son was sent to Kuwait before being transfered to Baghdad. I have only heard from him once letting me know that he arrived ok. I also got one e-mail telling me that his orders had been changed and he's going to Baghdad instead of Al Assad. How do you not go crazy waiting and waiting, I guess I'm just not very good at the waiting game. Just wondered if anyone else was going through or has been through the same thing?

Three U.S. soldiers were killed and six wounded when a suicide bomb blast caused a highway overpass to collapse on them near Mahmoudiya, south of Baghdad, the U.S. military said today. The soldiers were operating a checkpoint under the bridge at the time of the attack late Sunday. Thirty-one U.S. troops have died in Iraq so far this month.

Standard pat answer to any 'conflict' ( I hate that characterization too) is, " WE WIN WHEN THEY SURRENDER". Well. Iraq surrendered , now what? When you tackle IDEOLOGY ( religious dogma and a thousand years of religious hatred between sects), can the outcome anticipated, approach anything like democratization ( or better yet for the military -industrial complex, capitalism)? How will we know when we beat 'terrorism' ? Is increased terrorist group recruitment and cell growth, a sign of losing the war on terrorism ? How do we measure success? If Saudi Arabia supports the Sunni's and Iran suppports the Shiites, are they likely to be covertly drawn into the war? Does Israel have a stake in us staying there? Would a permanent base (think germany and korea) be possible? Likely? How does that effect our view of "winning", in the interest of minding the oil...................

I am currently in the NAVY DEP program, scheduled to leave for basic this 26th. Whe I went to swear in to MEPS, my recruiter told me not to mention all 3 of my misdemeanor charges for theft under $300 from 1998, he said to only mention 1 of them, so I did, and got to swear in and everything.
When MEPS did my backgroud ck, they noticed thre was 1 charge that I did not mention, so my recruiter recieved a call from MEPS stating that. My recruiter had me fill out hand written statements fro all 3 charges, and then asked me to get 4 references from work, so he could fax all that in. Then a week later i had a special investigator from OPM ask me to interview me for a background ck, that MEPS sent to do on me. My MOS is YEOMAN. I am supposed to b waiting for a waiver to be granted so that I can still leqve for basic this month, and everytime i call my recruiter w/ and update...he says, I have not heard anything back yet, but I will keeo u posted. So now I am thinking that I will be denied now
