There is an area on www.military.com that you can go and check to see where people are. I am not sure, you might have to have a .mil e-mail address to use it.

nope. if you are immediate family member, you can request a Welfare Check fromthe American Red Cross, but you will need the fullname, rank and social secuirty number as well as the last known duty station. and all the ARC will do is contact them and tell them somebody is looking for them. they will not tell you where they are,and neither they nor the command can force him to do so.

You don't we are not public access just because we serve our country. We are protected by the privacy act so we don't get hunted down by everyone and their mom. Would you like it if everyone could just look up all of your personal contact information?? Probably not. Same thing is true here, but the law is on our side. If the person wants to talk to you they will contact you.
