What do you think--are we on track for a one world government? If so, who do you think will be the one behind the curtain running the whole thing and why.

Military Recruiters in the poor neighborhoods. You see them everywhere in the Ghetto, but when Im working in the Rich part of the city I can honestly say I dont see them anywhere. I will accept all your answers because I love to know how "people" feel when they are hidden behind a keyboard.

I have two friends that met eachother while serving in the army. They fell in love, got married and are expecting their first child soon. Is it encouraged or frown upon for men and women of the same branch to form romantic relationships? I am not talking same sex relationships, but male-female relationships just to be clear.
God bless.

Can you please all leave some nice comments of support for all our troops so that I can leave them all on a site for them. They have the hardest job and we should do what we can to support them. My husband is going to Afghan in September and I'm really worried so some messages of support will really make us both smile, thank you : )

Isn't it time for the U.S. to take the initiative to wipe out the known training bases in Iran?
We know Iran has been training Iraqi insurgents in the use of it's weaponry and returning them back into Iraq to kill American soldiers.

We also know Iran is one year away from the development of nuclear weapon(s) capable, as is one of their goals, of "wiping Israel off the map".

Today Senator Joe Lieberman said:
“I think we’ve got to be prepared to take military action against the Iranians to stop them from killing Americans in Iraq"

Do we simply wait for the inevitable or isn't it time to take preemptive action to prevent the worst?

Global Strike mission, CONPLAN 8022, is a detailed strike plan directed against proliferation targets in North Korea, Iran, and elsewhere. First operational in 2004 and is at President Bush's disposal.

N.Y. times report that the U.S. is losing the war.simply because it cannot combat the cheap makeshift [ied's]. an army with unimaginable firepower, unlimited resources, unflailing determination is being driven out by fighters armed with crude arsenal of explosives and weapons.at what point does one realise that 5000 robots, compared to 150 just three yrs. ago, a staff of 400,6.3 Billion dollars on a task force{JIEDDO} is just not doing the trick?

It's become almost an annual tradition. Every year for the past five years, the Pentagon has gone to Congress and asked to be exempted from the country's environmental laws.

Being forced to abide by clean-air and water standards - as well as by hazardous-waste disposal and cleanup laws - could jeopardize military readiness and open the door for expensive and excessive rulings by state and federal environmental regulators, the Pentagon argues.

Every year, Congress sends the military brass away all but empty-handed.

Lawmakers agreed only to allow the military to train without worrying about endangered-species habitats and to allow the Navy to use sonar that might harm marine mammals.

Not even a pro-military Republican-controlled Congress was willing to let the Pentagon off the hook for cleaning up past pollution problems or to allow disposal practices that are considered criminal violations in the private sector.

Still, the Pentagon asks again and again.

"It shows the attitude and shows how they prioritize - and probably explains why they haven't cleaned up pollution problems faster," Alex Fidis said. Fidis is a lawyer specializing in health and environment issues for U.S. Public Interest Research Group, a national government-watchdog organization. "Anyone who has any sort of foresight can see how bad an idea this is."

The Pentagon argues that unhindered training is more important than ever because of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Military officials have pointed to a 1997 ruling by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that prohibits live-fire drills at a base on Cape Cod, Mass. There, public drinking-water supplies have been contaminated with cancer-causing gunpowder and rocket fuel.

That shows that environmental regulations now may be used to limit military preparedness, and the military should therefore be exempted from those requirements, the Pentagon argues.

"It's a typical response from a bureaucracy that large," Craig Williams said. He's director of the Chemical Weapons Working Group, a grass-roots environmental advocacy organization in Kentucky.

"They say, 'Our mission is so noble, we should be exempt,' which is preposterous," he said. "They don't look at protection in an environmental sense. They look at protection as weapons systems and troop deployments only."

This is a question just to see what most americans think. We had Hitler back then (who wanted to end the Jewish race, along with all undesirables in society) and we have the war in the middle east that seems to be on the verge of wiping out the majority of the middle easterns.

In your opinion, do you think there are any comparisons?

Has anyone heard about this? I don't know if it's true or not, but someone on here mentioned that after the USSR fell, documents were released that mentioned that Russians tried to bomb the midwest but the missile did not launch due to a defect.
