yes big shower room like 8 shower heads I think..... the worst part is standing in line for the shower single file - not a place for a homophobe

You get individual stalls overlooking the ocean followed by a massage. If public high schools have open showers for all, I'm pretty sure the Navy has them also. Just keep your eyes over chest level and you'll be fine. No need to make a big deal out of it. Everyone more or less carries the same.

Yes you do but who cares. You'll be so happy that you get to take a shower that it won't matter. You won't have more than a minute or two anyway. If thats a confidence problem for you, then stay away from the military.

Yep. And you'll get about a minute and a half to do it. You'll learn terms like "ricky car wash" and how to shampoo your (lack of) hair before you even set foot in the shower. Beleive me, there's more to worry about than looky loos in the shower- you'll be too tired to notics anything, anyway.
As for my army friend up there, he probably isn't too keen on what, exactly a "shower" entails. It's something I think they only let the officers do in the army.

No different than Gym locker room showers.
At the time I went through Men and Women served in segregated companies. Now the companies are integrated but the dorms and showers are still segregated.

In boot camp everyone uses communal showers. That's the way it was when I went through boot camp in the Navy.

You're nothing but an animal when you join the military-and that's entirely what bootcamp is convincing you of.
Why wouldn't you be treated like a cow to slaughter when you're showering as opposed to everything else, dude?

Yes, you sure do. Don't worry about guys comparing the size of their ding-a-lings. In the 90 seconds you're given to shower you won't have the time.
