Isn't it time for the U.S. to take the initiative to wipe out the known training bases in Iran?
We know Iran has been training Iraqi insurgents in the use of it's weaponry and returning them back into Iraq to kill American soldiers.
We also know Iran is one year away from the development of nuclear weapon(s) capable, as is one of their goals, of "wiping Israel off the map".
Today Senator Joe Lieberman said:
“I think we’ve got to be prepared to take military action against the Iranians to stop them from killing Americans in Iraq"

Do we simply wait for the inevitable or isn't it time to take preemptive action to prevent the worst?
Global Strike mission, CONPLAN 8022, is a detailed strike plan directed against proliferation targets in North Korea, Iran, and elsewhere. First operational in 2004 and is at President Bush's disposal.

Isn't it about time?

what's God's call is Israel waiting for? no you will wait around for a time-honored strike to react to. With a time-honored strike that's throughout with. there will be no thank you to steer away from total destruction. The Iranian common knows what he's speaking approximately. Even one rocket embarked on usa could effect interior the entire destruction of each and every us of a that replaced into in the back of that attack. And that replaced into no longer even a nuclear attack. Iran is a mad canine. it may't be tolerated in a civilized worldwide. we are way previous knives and weapons. The nuclear probability is a one time adventure. One time and that's throughout. No protection is a probability. Israel is below on the spot and severe probability of total destruction by technique of Iran or its surrogates, the Palestinians. there will be no worldwide condemnation of Israel for its necessary self-protection in an attack on Iran. Killing in self-protection isn't homicide.

I agree but we just can't openly attack Iran so it Special Forces time, whether ours or Israels or both, we need to neutralize the Iran threat before it get as big as 9/11.
They had the bal_s to take the Embassy in 1979 they will grow them back and attack us again some way some how. Right now they are testing the waters so to speak in Iraq by supporting the insurgency. We can't take the risk of another Pearl Harbor, 9/11 happening we need to take appropriate measures NOW!

I just don't feel we can take on the world. Other countries have developed nuclear power and we didn't attack them. It was Bush who refused to talk to the Iranian President. He didn't want to have peace with Iran. Send the Bush family there and see if they can work things out first.

It will be an embarrassing failure both politically and militarilly just like Iraq and Afghanistan.
The USA has passed its peak as a world power due to its enormous debts to China. Any new campaign would be unsustainable.

I think it's about time that the people who support the current administration's pre-emptive strike policy take up arms, go enlist in the Army or Marines, and be the first to go into the war zone. Oh, and don't forget to write home and tell us all how well things are going.

I don't know where you dug this stuff up. Sounds like something else that our infallible government agents jug up. How can you believe any of that. As far as I can tell you and Joe Lieberman will have to go it alone

I think we should jumpstart Irans nuclear program by giving them one of our nuclear weapons. It can be delivered in a matter of minutes and it would come with a free demonstration :-). Of course they couldnt use it after the fact but hey...at least they can say they've gone nuclear.

I think that war really isn't going to help anybody at this point in time. I believe pacifism is the way to go. You can't get peace through war, that doesn't make sense, nor work.
