UN interventions are always with the agreement of the country involved. Kosovo was done by NATO over the objection of Serbia, but since both were part of Yugoslavia it is hard to say if Kosovo was a country or not.
In general some countries like us to have bases and thats it.

Well, it seems lately we are more often asked to get out.. it is not unusual for a nation to want help.. but they do not want to be invaded or taken over or be made to live the " American way"

It makes you wonder if the price of our help is worth it?

Some leaders of countries ask the help of the US to depose an abusive leader in order that they could assume the leadership and be cooperative with the US.

Do me a favor check into world war one and two. Folks were dancing in the street in the UK when we came into the war. True they though we had waited a little long. But they were glad to have us in the fight.

got to agree with hippypaul above me, yes we as a nation was very glad they came in finally and yes we did think they had left it a bit long, but that's the governments NOT the people's doing surely.
