People always claim that US soldiers are dying for "our" freedom. I guess Paris Hilton should thank them tremendously for her freedom to mock US justice and responsiblity....and to give her a chance to kill someone drunk driving.

1. Freedom of speech is granted by God, not by government.
2. A government is it's people.
3. "A house divided against itself cannot stand" -Jesus Christ Matthew 12:25
4. Jesus taught us that a majority of people must support the government for the government to succeed. A country will not collapse in a day, as evil still exists, but good always conquors evil.
5. The mind and body are distinct. Bodies can be contained, but minds cannot. A system of belief (or governance) cannot be imposed on the minds of people who do not agree. The body is controlled by the mind. Any government (The US) who wishes to "liberate" a group of people through oppression (war, and the appointment of officials) can not succeed when the "liberated" peoples disagree with the system of oppression.
6. When a minority of people wish to be "liberated" by the US, such "liberation" is oppression, wheras if the minority were opposed it would be suppression.
Troops cannot give a freedom "speech" which God gives.

I am a 19 year old female, I'm not tough and also quite sensitive. Perhaps this would strenghten me up to be a stronger person. What would you guys suggest??

a letter said to join the army, or even i f i dont register, a 250,000 dollar fine will come, or 5 years in prison. god bless america. i have 9 days to reply, what should i say, i wanted to tell them the truth, that i work at a church, and i have touretts syndrome, my wrist is very hurt in some ways, my political views hint that i would one, never serve for the U.S. two, i believe that the U.S. has drifted away from our forefathers dream. i wouldl rather do five years in prison than join any branch of tyhe military, i have no medical records that say anything about my touretts, but its there, i heard criminals get drafted first, well i have a clean record. if you knew me, you would know that i would feel as if im getting raped if i was forced to joiin the army, i dont want to be forced to kill my dreams, i am a one in a kind individual who would easily run away to live with my brother than join the army. what would jesus think? how terrible.

Whenever I think of the time long before modern communication technology, I wonder how nations and empires managed their communication.

For example: In the Caribbeans of the 16th to 18th century, ships were the only possibility to bring news from and to the old world. I think this usually took several weeks. So, if two nations declared war, how did their military forces learn of that so they could take appropriate measures and act as supposed to do... And did it happen that they attacked ships or towns where they thought that they are still in war, although there was already peace?

PS: My apologizes for any errors (I'm not English native speaker).

lets see.....
As a result of 9/11, American Nationalism increased and
they appreciate their country more.

It made the Patriot Act, Guantanamo Bay, 9/11 Commission and the War on Iraq

It gave you more metal detectors, X-ray machines, Backscatters, that detect bombs in shoes, bags and liquids

It provide you with oil.

You have the Global Guardian, Financial assistance, CIA and the FBI and FEMA.

I think its safe to say that what 9/11 done for your country it's has discredited by the atrocities, but YOU wouldn't have extra security without the advances 9/11 gave you.

9/11 dragged a barren country like America years ahead of itself during the event and if you watch the documentaries, it appear that a great deal of security has changed since.

It's security for your own good!
