What kind of flag case - rectangle for display with other items or triangle to just hold the flag? What size flag? If a rectangle, what other items will go in it?

There is no 1 single answer. Flag cases come in all different shapes and sizes.

If you just want a triangle, fold your flag properly and that will show you how big of a triangle you'll need.

by military flag case i am assuming you are meaning the flag used to cover a veterans casket which is also called a 'storm flag'
this flag is 5x9.5 ft.
are you wanting to buy a flag case for your flag or to make your own???
flag cases for this size flag are widely available for the obvious reason that these flags are given out to cover veterans caskets and become sentimental value to loved ones who they are given to. - if you just tap into a search engine or ebay 'casket flag case' youll come up with lots of results varying from a standard flagcase just to hold a flag or one that has a box below it to hold cremated remains or one which has facilities to hold medals.

if your planning on making your own flag case either measure your flag or build your case around your flag like i did with mine (mine is a 3x5 ft flag that flew over the Capitol.. as i live in England the shiping is expensive to have a case sent over here so i just made my own)
if you dont have a flag to measure or guide you it can become difficult and the size fot he triangle can vary a little by how you fold it and how thick the material of the flag is.
you could always still search the net on yahoo for flag cases adding to your search 'measurements' and hopefully you might get what your looking for :)

They come in different sizes, you can call a picture frame place and ask them your question.
