I think we just created another person to fight. They don't like us. Its like getting in a fight with someone and giving them a knife. This is not going to work at all, but on the plus side, it might spike the violence enough for the dems to win enough support to end the occupation. That would be cool. Too bad more people will die.

Don't matter. All sides will be getting arms and killing. Look at every war back in history and now. The people of the Middle East are the only people that can stop the fighting. A bullet is not the answer, talking and action is the only way.

It would work out fine. The Sunnis are on our side. They need weapons to protect them selves just in case the Government falls again like it did before. Because we weren't there to save them that time.
Its allot like how we armed the South Vietnamese in Vietnam.

Probably well since they are leaving it up to local commanders. They will decide who is working with them or not. Some mistakes will be made, but I would think that the fact that Sunnis want to work with us is a good thing.

It depends. When you arm a potential enemy, it's best to do it from a distance. If the U.S. plans on staying in the area, that was a very self destructive thing to do. So far it has worked and that's why the U.S. continues to do it.

Probably the same as the U.S. arming South Vietnamese. If you noticed, they didn't arm anybody in Somalia.

Probably saw it coming.

having been there, No one in Iraq needs to be armed. Weapons are every where (kinda like Washington DC).

someone in Iraq needs to be able to defend them selfs when the US leaves. I personally don't care who it is.
