your spouse will either have to give you a POA granting you authority to get a new ID, or go with you get it.

you cannot get a new ID without either of those two things.

are u still on his deers? he has to be with you and sign the papers, if he isnt then you have to have a power of attny. You cant just walk in and re-new it. Also I have read some of your other questions... about being pregnant by your boy friend, is that why you want to renew your card so you can use tri care to pay for your medical bills for a child your husband didnt create??? Im sorry issues like these piss me off.

Around here you either need DH there in person or a POA *and* paperwork from the command. I just had to re do one while my DH was out at sea. But the ID office at the nearest base should be able to help you.

If you are not legally divorced you still his dependant and are entitled to an ID card. That should be the last thing you hand over after signing the divorce papers. Don't let him try to tell you anything different.

If you still qualify for a military I.D. have your husband go to the closest base to him and get the paper work ( I forget the form) and mail it to you. I believe you have 30 days to get your I.D. from the day he got the paperwork. You can call CBPO to verify exactly what to do but that is the jest of it. Your ex does not need to be there with you but does have to do some paperwork.

Here's the catch. Your seperated from husband is going to have to sign the form for you to get a new ID.

What, were you cheating on him when he was fighting for your country? A military ID is the last thing you deserve.

But if you weren't go to the base and ask the sentry.

SEMPER FI!!!

I agree with the 1st person...I read your previous posts too and they talk about you being pregnant by your boyfriend.. hopefully your husband will wise up and divorce you...im glad your I.D. card is expired, try getting your bf to join, then you could be using 2 men

You can't get one without hubby unless you still have a vaild General Power of Attorney and even then they may not accept it if you are seperated.

Go to the Base. Ask at the Gate.

If you read your own question you would have the answer

Go to the base, and explain your situation to them. If he is still claiming you as his dependent, then I think your ID can still be renewed. I'm not sure wat happens if he remairies.

Hope this helps.
