Extremely hard. I work in the unit where wash-outs go, and the majority of 18 year-olds don't make it through SFAS. Then you have to get through SFQC (where you learn your language, MOS, and tactics), which is no easier. The majority of people fail SFAS because they can't hack it physically. The ones who fail SFQC usually fail because they aren't mentally or emotionally ready.

Yes!
Here goes: In addition to your regular training regimen for your APFT. You MUST ruck!
At least three times a week get out there and ruck anywhere from 4 to 15 miles. If you can't already do 12-15 minute miles with 50+ pounds then you need to work yourself up to it. That's the standard.
If you can talk to a 18D, he can tell you better how to prepare. The bottom line is you should condition your feet and rucking muscles.
Know that there will be two events a day and they could be at any time. Be prepared never to snap or yell at someone. Do NOT get a cold or have diminishing returns on your performance.

This is a mere hurdle.

If you are overly concerned about your ability to succeed through this selection process, you may want to reconsider your career choice.

In your preparation, however, I would learn to live with a heavy rucksack strapped to your back. Put away a great number of training miles wearing one and break in several pairs of good boots to prepare your feet for the course.

Bottom line. This really is the tip of the iceberg. Ensure that you are prepared for much more than the straightforward challenge of selection and that the ensuing lifestyle is a good fit for your career and personality (you will be tested). Otherwise, have fun and get to know the men you'll train with. They will become a family to you years later.
