I am a tanker and i was thinkin about reclassing to an MP. My buddy is an MP and he was telling me i would probably have to go to school in California or Missouri...so would i have to pay for the travel and then be reimbursed? or would it be taken care of right away? Also, how would i go about setting up the school? Any info you could give me would be outstanding, if you know of a website...that would be even better. Thanks

You would be TDY in Route...you would go to school...which they will send you there, and then to your next Duty Station just like a PCS...it will not be like Perm Party where you will have all your stuff in the Barracks...they will store your stuff till you PCS...I reclassed as an E-4....it sucked having to deal with DS again...but they did not treat us that bad...

You also have the option of having them pay you back, such as travel expenses if you wanted that...
