completely. they are the only Branch that segregates during all aspects of initial entry training. you won't even be allowed to look at the opposite gender until after you complete Boot Camp.

Unless things have changed in the Corps since my Ex retired, male and female recruits in boot camp are completely separated. Separate platoons, separate companies, separate training, graduations, everything.

When I was in basic (1997), they had seperate barracks for the females, but they put 15 females in each platoon in the company... They also do it where you would have a whole platoon of females... It depends on where you go for basic!!! Im not sure if its the same now days or not...

In the Marine Corps the female recruits have female Drill Instructors but for the various training classes (i.e. rifle range, etc) they can have either male of female. As a male I had male Drill Instructors but ever had female class instructors. Probably because females are only trained at MCRD Parris Island, SC and not MCRD San Diego, CA.

I went during a time when I didn't have a "Brother Platoon" but some do train together in some parts of training- sorry I don't have more info for you.

At MCRD San Diego, there are no female recruits. At Perris Island, they are separated. Having never been to Perris Island, I cannot say for sure how exactly the segregation takes place. But Marine training is extremely intense, there's little or no time for such foolishness.

Everything is seperated. The only time there is any Co-ed stuff, is on certain training i.e. Rifle Range, Swim qual, Rappel tower.

They sleep and shower in their own barracks, other than that they are co-ed all the way. That is the best training environment for both genders.

i think all genders should train and do everything together...
train like soldiers on the movie starship troopers.....shower together.....but we americans cant handle that because we lack the maturity to co exsits with other genders......

Nothing is separated. They sleep together and even take showers together. He didn't tell you that? Uh oh...
