Active duty don't typically carry documents. He/she must carry a military ID at all times, however.
Why do you ask?

What are you talking about? Active duty military members only have a military ID card. We don't have to carry papers like we are in WWII Europe. WTH? If you don't believe someone is in the Army, why don't you just ask them for the truth?

Your company clerk should be able to point you to where to get the VA form that shows eligibility by being on active duty for a VA loan. Your ID card, though, should be good enough for anyone else. Many places where you get license plates also want a copy of your LES.

Just ask to see his ID card. If he is active duty it should be white, have the army logo on the frot and have a gold computer chip in it. If the card is green, pink or brown he is not active duty.

I dont think those documents would be open to the public, so you would need to go through military channels to obtain such information. I would think a standard issue military ID card would suffice in any situtation.
In any other situation needing "proof" they would specify for you what is needed, such as LES or orders. Again, all which would be obtained through military channels, not as public information.

Why do you want to know this. If you are in the active army you would have these and know what they are. If you are not it is a serious crime to reproduce them and with terrorism alerts as they are many would think you are a terrorist.

From your command. It is illegal to falsify these types of documents. If you are in the Army, you would know to ask your command. Falsifying a government document would be a federal offense, felony.
