I served 12 years came out 88. I have always been P***** **f and angry how the Parras have been glorified for yopping over the Falklands. Any British regiment would have done the same if so ordered, they done there job nothing else, nothing super human, just there job.

Last year North Korea launched missiles at us but they didn't reach us.
So I was wondering if it's possible they or someone else might try to do it again this year.
The 4th is an excellent time to attack us because we're already making a bunch of noise with fireworks celebrations.
And it would be a direct display of disrespect for celebrating our independance.

Ive wanted to be a Marine since I was little and still would like to be a Marine. I love the brotherhood of the Corps and the life long membership when you join the Corps, I also love the intensity and pride of being a Marine. But I would like to be a Corpsman in the Navy and serve with the Marines as a combat medic. I know the Navy life because my father spent 21 years in the active Navy. The Navy is good life and they treat well, but the advancement is the hardest out of all the branches (most retire at E-6) and now you have to have an associates degree to become an E-7. I just don't know which one to join. It really is 50/50 right now.

I've just started the process of signing up to the Royal Navy, so it's not even guaranteed that I'm gonna get in, but every time I tell people I'm signing up as a pilot they all tell me I'm gonna end up killing people, dropping bombs and such - I'm not politically minded at all so it's hard for me to argue back at these people when they talk about Iraq and Gaza and the rest. The reason I'm signing up is to lead a more fulfilling life, to experience things that no other career could afford me - I need to get up to speed on world politics and form my own opinion, and I need help with that.

Here's a joke that my Army Sgt (fmr Jarhead) told our unit.
A soldier and a Marine are in the latrine, and finish up at the same time. The Marine starts for the door while the soldier goes to the sink, and says "In the Army they taught us to wash up after using the Latrine" To which the Marine replies, "In the Corps, they taught us not to piss on our hands."
