the article states that 60% of Bagdad is NOT controlled - meaning we control 40%.

and last time i checked we control 100% of los angeles...

I think 40% is an exaggeration. Only the Green Zone is safe.

Bagdad is where 1/3 of the population of Iraq lives. It's like controling Los Angeles. The allies are making some headway. Seven of the 18 providences have been turned over to Iraq's government while the Iraqis have a military and police structure in 17 of 18 providences.

It could very well be true. No, it's not acceptable. But what is the solution? Republicans keep saying nothing needs to be changed, and Democrats keep demanding that we run away. There has to be a solution in between those two stupid options.
