First my deepest deepest sympathy for your entire family. Second, it will just have to take time for your family to begin the healing process. Right now it is too soon. Take one day at a time, do not withdraw from people, talk openly about your feelings. Understand that many of your friends, family, and even strangers want to help but are unsure on how to do that. It is an akward situation and people are afraid of saying the wrong thing. Look into support groups both in the military and civilian sectors. Do something to help get your mind focused on other things so that you won't begin to think about all the sadness when you have "down time" or are alone. Look into maybe getting a new pet to take care of, volunteer at church, etc. Know too that there are so many people out there who are 1000000 percent behind you and your family and are willing to help in any way possible. I wish you and your family peace of mind and of heart. God Bless

I bet he was the best guy! I`m terribly sorry for your lose. May your Mom be strong and proud of her boy, though no parent should bury their child. People disagree and apeak thier opinions on a daily basis...the difference between them and your brother is that he was willing to give his life so that those people still have that freedom today. He is a true hero.

I'm so sorry to hear that... My 20 year old son is fighting the war in Iraq as we speak. I just hope the same doesn't happen to him. That is why I strongly believe that it is time for our troops to return home. Families do not deserve to hear bad news about losing a loved one in a senseless war. Bin Laden was the cause for 9/11, so why are we in Iraq. I am voting for Ron Paul as President in '08 just because he is the only candidate that is against the war in Iraq & wants to bring our troops home. Take a look for your self...

sorry to hear that. but I don't think you ever really heal, after a death in the family, especially one so young. You just find a level of acceptance.
lost a cousin aged 23, and another aged 38. Still grieving

God bless him; my condolences to your mother; it takes time to heal...
One of my best friends was killed in Mosul Iraq and I think of him every day; he left a young wife and a 5 year old son; nothing more heart-wrenching than having to see a mother grieving and a child asking when is daddy coming home...
Bless your heart.

Eleanor, sorry for your loss but why are you asking yahoo users why your brother died? Obviously, doing something he wanted, serving his country in the military. End of subject. Sorry about your mom, family, but grieve and move on, I guess you need to hear alot of people tell you how sorry they are.
