I just read up on Napoleon, and was amazed that not only did the French army get stuck taking on the Russians like Hitler would later, they even got chased back until Paris surrendered (if I understood right). History isn't my strong point, and I tried to look it up on Wikipedia, but, well, has Russia actually been defeated in warfare?

How exactly do Medical records work? See, I was thinking of joining the military, but on military.com it says that when you go to talk to a recruiter it's a good idea to bring your medical records. I've been to more than one doctor throughout my life, I'm confused, what exactly do I do... it seems impractical to get a report from every health/medical/doctor/hospital facilaty that I've ever been to?? Can someone please expain...

So many seemingly intelligent and articulate people talk about a war in Iraq like its actually happening right now.

But the hard facts and evidence agree that the war ended in 2003, and we are now in a stabalisation and peacekeeping roll out there.

Or are you going to spout some conspiracist theory telling me that the media covered it all up, and the war is still being waged in secret?

It would make the enemy more interested in sex than fighting. Air Force's Wright Laboratory in Dayton, OH asked for $7.5 million to develop such a non-lethal chemical weapon. It would contain a hormone that could purportedly turn enemy soldiers into homosexuals. This bomb was proposed in 1994 and dismissed. There's no bomb in production (unless Area 51 is working on one). Had you heard about this back in 1994 and wasn't it very offensive to many people? The government probably should have developed one and used it on the terrorists of the world. The wars would be a thing of the past, in time. What do you think?

This might seem kinda odd, but i think the soldiers in Irag are being to nice. I mean its good that the soldiers want to become friends with them but all they want to do is kill us and each other. I think the U.S should be stricter with the citizens. WE have to show them that we mean business or else they're just going to continue hurting us. What do you think

I'm thinking of enlisting with the Air Force or the Navy. I'm not far from the IL-WI border. I'm on the IL side and was thinking of going across the border to a recruiter in Kenosha or Racine instead of one the two Air Force and Navy recruiters near me. Can I do that or do I have to see a recruiter in IL?

My son was honorably discharged from the USCG after a motorcycle accident involving alcohol. I know he was wrong but now they are doing an investigation a year after the fact and saying that due to his misconduct he should pay for his medical bills. He has not recovered mentally or physically and owns nothing. He connot afford an attorney and they will not provide him with one. I have two other sons that are Marines and they have never heard of anything like this. Can they reverse the honorable discharge? We just do not understand why they would do this. It seems like someone made a mistake a year ago and now they are trying to fix it. He was questioned initially, prior to discharge and signed away his right to an attorney eight weeks after severe head trauma. Is there anyone that can help us?

I'm trying to decide between four different rounds for self defense use: 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 or .357 Magnum. Right now, I'm leaning towards the .40 S&W because it has nearly the stopping power of a .45 and isn't as big, which means a smaller, more easily carried weapon. My criteria for judging the calibers is this: price (lower price, more training rounds fired), stopping power, size, and overall reliability (for example, the .40 S&W is known to sometimes misfire and ruin the gun that's firing it).

As for what gun I'll use, I'll figure that out after I'm finished deciding on the caliber. In any event, it most likely will be an autoloader, so any suggestions there will be helpful too.

Thanks for your input in advance.

Why is it that in every rap song, and all the boys, everywhere, all want an old rifle? Why wouldn't they want an M-16, or a Glock? Is it because they're so rare? Is it because they're armor-piercing, or what?

My husband is currently on a deployment for 12 months in Cuba, about a month after he left I started to recieve emails in my email account from other countries asking for all kinds of information, and asking us to help them bring some money and all kinds of stuff. I find it kinda scary, I am unsure if there is anybody that I can contact to inform them of this. It may just be a coincidence that is started when he left it may not be. But I am unsure of what to do. Any help?

I am currently in Iraq and I have been kept off missions now because of this. I actually asked for my weapon. Noone seems to give me a straight answer as what will happen to me when I get back to the states. Im also worried I will get nailed for fradulent enlistment, but I didnt do this near as much back home. Just everynow and then, its almost like being here made it worse. Also If I do get discharged, will I have to pay back my bonus and not get my college money?

they were used in vietnam, and every other conflict! it is obvious we cannot win guerrila warfare with ememy! we need to bomb areas with al-queda fighters in it! that just might make the job easier for our ground troops! why hasn't that fool bush ordered such tactics? we fight a war to win!!! not to lose 10,000 ground troops!! and using the air force bombers will help!! not hurt our cause! or do you fear an escalation?

my boyfriend is at basic training right now. we were together for over a year when he signed up, and i was not happy at all with him going but eventually i told him i would try to accept it. since he has been there, he has written me 4 letters and when i got his mailing address i was able to write back, so i've written two now. the last letter i received was last week, but i know his parents have received a letter or two since. it makes me feel bad because i feel like he doesn't care about me and he obviously has time to write, so why is he disregarding me? it's really hard because i don't want to be mad, but i feel like if he loves me and wants to be with me, then he should put more effort in because i am having a really difficult time dealing with this. What should I do?
