I agree. My husband has done two tours over there and he said that it didn't matter what age, sex, size they were, he was ALWAYS on guard around them. He didn't make friends with ONE Iraqi....not because he's a bad person but because he put his own safety, the safety of his men and THE MISSION first. We are NOT over there to make friends, we are over there to complete a mission.

I agree. And some people even want to pull out from the war?? They're crazy! We need to show them we're Americans and we don't take BS from anyone. Unfortunately, we'll probably back out of the war with out new president, whoever it may be. It's annoying how everyone was mad after 9/11 and now they're tired of fighting back! You can't just give up like that! It's completely stupid! If we back out we're making ourself look like a bunch of wimps who won't fight for their own lives!!! I totally agree with you on this. Let's show 'em business.

I think that if we are going to generalize a group of people, then any white person missing a tooth is now a dumb redneck, any black person wearing a primary color is a gangster, every asian should own a restaurant, and all mexicans are illegals.
Not everyone over there is the same, just as not everyone mentioned above fit into those categories. Actually most of them dont!
Just as this country is divided regarding this war, dont you think some of the iraqi people are too?

You are trying to dictate military tactics and policy and that is done by the White house and the Pentagon. So you should write a letter to Bush and tell him your thoughts since he is the decider.
Once again... the policy is a failed policy, it will never be successful. The tactics are rotten and reactive vs. proactive in nature, they will never be successful.
It's a loss, sooner or later...THE END

what's the point? in a guerrilla war you may not readily identify the enemy. If we are seen as Death Incarnate to
enemy fighters, and professional and civil to the innocent civilians, our image may survive.

But WE'RE in THEIR country. Maybe the insurgency is a sign that THEY don't want US in THEIR country. See what I'm getting at here?
