My friend who is a dumb idiot didnt pay his parking tickets for like a month and a half. the police department called him and said he was a suspect in an open case. He responded and asked what it was about, THey then said back to him that it would be better if they explained it to him at the courthouse. He arrived and they arrested him.... Is this entrapment????? And could he possibly sue???

I know alot does. Espically in poorer areas. I mean a neighboring county ran a drug ring for years. Police are promoted by putting people in jail. We should make an attempt to take a socalist approach to justice. Our whole capitalistic approach to justice is wrong.

I just found out someone driving my car got a speeding ticket in it. The person pretended to be me. I believe it was my sister or roommate. What should I do? I have a copy of the ticket. Details:

a) Officer couldn't have been given my DL since I have my DL.
b) Ticket isn't sign by anyone.
c) Physical description does not fit me at all.
d) By the looks of the location, the cop was out of jurisdiction.

How should I approach this? My name and car description is on the ticket, but it wasn't me. Also, I don't think the cop has any proof of who drove the car. And, if I have to go to court to defend this, I do have a witness whom I was with, 50 miles away from where the ticket was issued. ADVICE?

Ok, just an off the wall question. My friends and I saw a cop driving by yesterday, and my friend said we should just run for the hell of it to see if he'd chase us. The question that got brought up though was could you get in trouble for it, even if you aren't doing anything wrong? I mean the most obvious thing would be resisting arrest, but that's all I can think of. Can anyone give us any more info on what could/can happen if you run from a cop for no reason?

I have worked in the prison industry as a facilitator for conflict resolution programmes.
Naturally many guilty parties profess their innocence, but I have personally known 3 genuinely innocent people sentenced to prison.
Two were exonerated after their release, and the third was cleared while still serving a long sentence.
DNA was the key to their appeals.
What is your story about someone you have met who is innocent of the crime they have been convicted of.
It doesnt matter if they havnt been cleared of the crime or not.
Your story.
What sort of crime, what was the sentence.
Who pays the highest price

An online test or just a list of the questions would work.

Well stupid me, I seen a Cop parked in a parking lot and kinda stared wondering why there was a cop in that weird place.

So, I continued and made my left turn then yeah the cop was now behind me with lights blazing.

She starts by saying mind telling me why you blew that stop sign?
I tell her I didn't blow any stop signs (I think she already called me guilty)

She takes my ID and Registration and comes back in like 5 minutes with a warning that now says disregarding stop sign and calling rolling a stop sign now. giving that piece of paper to me and pointing the back end of her flash light at my face and starts to walk away. I say "I didn't role any stop signs" So she comes back screaming your lucky I don't give you a ticket. Then she starts screaming you think I pull people over for my health(Pointing the back of the flashlight at my face again) "DO YOU WANT A CITATION."
I didn't say anything after that. I took my warning, after now being threated by a the flashlight and tickets.

I was robbed a while ago. The police recovered my laptop while doing a warrant search. They also found a cigarrette lighter with the name Lany engraved. my sister's name is Lani. My relationship with her I would say she is very passive aggressive toward me.

I was with a friend near the side of the road yesterday, it snowed a few days before so we made some snow balls and threw them at cars. (lol)

A car suddenly speeding backed up to where i was.
A man stepped out, he said he was a police officer and said we could go to jail for what we were doing.

I asked him to show us his badge to clarify he really was a officer. He hessitated and said "I um, dont have it with me right now"

I figured he was telling a bunch of bull.

But anyway,

Would he get jail time for impersonating a police officer?

If so,, how long?

Someone knocked over my bike when he was driving out of the driveway of his apartment. Luckily, someone saw this incident and left a note on my bike with the time of the incident and the detail of the car. I bring the detail to the nearest police station and ask for the person’s contact detail. The police called and confirm with the car’s owner if he knocked down any motor vehicle. He sort of admits to it, but argue that my bike is on his driveway. The police told me that he is not going to deal with this situation and he will just give me the contact detail of the car’s owner. Once, I got the contact detail, I called him immediately. He refused to answer and call after many attempt. So I left him a message, to call me back by Monday or I will seek for legal advice.

At Monday morning, I received a call from the management of a apartment, asking me to remove my bike or else they will call the city council to remove my bike. The management told me that I am parking at their driveway.
