It depends on your age. There is a thing called Youthful Offender. If you commit a petty crime and you are under , I believe 21, It will be expunged from your record. For Felony and printable misdemeanors copies of your prints will be in the FBI file for the remainder of your life.

It usually doesn't show up on criminal background checks and most companies only search for felonies anyway.
