If you are drinking and you get pulled over. Is there anything you can do to pass it? I have heard sucking on pennies and mustard? Is this true, if not, are there any ways to pass it?

Ok its called DOUBLE JEPARDY
and its has nothing to do with the game.And... i know it has something to do with if you are charged and convicted of a crime of murder and that person is legally dead... but really the person is not ...and then you go and actaully kill the person ....it says you can not be convicted of murdering the same person? SO does that mean you don't have to go to prision agian....because you already did time for that crime?
I am really interested...and i did see the movie about it ....i'm just wondering if it is really true or not?
PLEASE HELP ME

Yesterday, not far from my home, one direction of a 10 lane major freeway was closed due to a horrific accident. In California that's called a SigAlert. As I listened to the radio while working, I realized the freeway had been closed for 8-10 hours. They can't expect anyone to just sit there all that time! At the least, you gotta hit the head!

So how does the Hwy Patrol get everybody off the freeway, and back to their business? You couldn't go forward, and the other nearest exit was about 21/2 miles BEHIND the accident.I'm particularly interested in the cars at the very front, almost touching the accident.

We just found out that the father of a family in our neighborhood is a registered sex offender. Unfortunately, he lives two doors from us & because we did not know he was an offender, our families have been BBQing, kids playing together. We are finding out six months after the family moved in. I check the sites, but only a few times a year. Fortunatley, my child had never been alone at their house, we've just always played outside together because the weather is nice here. Do I tell them I know or do I just stop speaking to them? I'm feeling sort of violated because of course they didn't volunteer the information to us & they seemed like such nice people & if I hadn't seen the report & photo, I wouldn't have believed it. How do I explain to my son who is 4, why he can't play with the kids anymore. My husband & I are really upset. By the way, the offense involved solicitation of a minor.

A few nights ago I was at my favorite watering hole where I apparently had a few to many. I was asked to leave (so I'm told). Apparently I was told not to come back. I do not remember any of this. The following evening my friends and I went to the same bar. When entering I showed my ID to the bouncer and preceded to apologize for what I had done the night before (this was the same bouncer who asked me to leave the night before). He said not to worry about it and let me in. Within 15 minutes the police were escorting me out and charged me with trespassing. If anyone has knowledge of criminal and could help me out with my options please let me know.

Thanks

I was pretty shocked when I watched america most wanted last night. I cant believe that 3 officers actually got arrested and put in prison for doing their job. An illegal can testify against the officer!
The ones that did the testifying, where are they now? Back in Mexico or here in the US, receiving welfare and medical aide?

i did post my questions early - this was reported to the police - the man who assualted me was released fr his position about 3 weeks after my assualt. however, he was still their delivery man and i had made a purchase from this store and never got my complete delivery due to i was told that he is the delivey man, i am being harrassed by the store because i refused to go back there or allow them to come to my home i am afraid of their delivery man, yes he was released but these people didn't care and i feel threat from them as well sence they found it impossible to deliver my purchase and that only he could do so sence he was their delivery man - knowing that i had been assaulted in their store. however, now he is no longer working there and they feel i should just cont. doing bussiness with them - i feel very blank and scared about the way i was treated - there is alot of confussion on my part mentally on why someone would treat me like this as a customer

Let's say, your standing behind a cop car at a red light. It turns green and your patiently waiting for him to start moving, but he doesn't. Do you beep the horn? Do you think he'll get mad? I mean, c'mon.. it's blocking traffic.

UK Sex trade moves its modern-day slaves into the suburbs*
By David Harrison, Sunday Telegraph
Last Updated: 12:25am GMT 18/02/2007
Criminal gangs are moving sex slaves out of brothels and into private
houses in an attempt to take the trade "underground" and avoid discovery
by the police.
Senior officers are finding an "alarming" number of young women, mostly
east Europeans aged 18 to 25, held captive in privately owned flats and
houses and forced to have sex with up to 30 "clients" a day.
The gangs are moving hundreds of women out of the "overt" sex industry -
massage parlours and other brothels - and into the "covert" industry,
because it is more lucrative, to increase their control over the
victims, and to make it more difficult for police to find them.
Graeme Maxwell, Yorkshire police's deputy chief constable and programme
director for the UK Human Trafficking Centre, said: "The traffickers and
pimps are taking the girls to rented flats and houses in areas all over
the UK where there is a transient population and neighbours don't really
notice when people move in and out."
Mr Maxwell said the gangs were "ruthless criminals determined to protect
their income from exploiting and abusing young women".
The key to finding the criminals and rescuing the women was "local
intelligence", he said. Beat officers were working to win the trust of
communities and give people the confidence to inform police if they
suspected girls were being held against their will. The trafficked
women, most of whom are lured to Britain with false promises of jobs as
waitresses or au pairs and are routinely beaten and raped, had been
found in rented homes in city centres, including Birmingham, London and
Sheffield, but also in "leafy suburbs".
D S Steve Titterton, the trafficking centre's tactical adviser, said:
"We are finding girls being kept in 'studentland' and other 'bedsit'
areas but also in buy-to-let accommodation in smart residential areas
where the neighbours are used to a high turnover of tenants."
One Ukrainian woman told The Sunday Telegraph last week that she was
duped into coming to Britain on the promise of a job selling ice cream
in London. Instead Tatanya, 25, was taken to a flat in a north London
suburb where she was forced to work as a prostitute from 10am to 10pm
every day and to hand over all of the money to two Albanians, a man and
a woman, towards the £20,000 "cost" of bringing her to England.
Tatanya escaped by jumping from a second-floor window. She went to the
police and, despite death threats to her family in Ukraine, gave
evidence that helped to convict her captors who were jailed for a total
of 25 years.
Police believe the traffickers are going "underground", in part as a
response to Operation Pentameter, a three-month police crackdown last
year in which 232 suspected traffickers were arrested and 84 women
rescued in nationwide raids on brothels.
Pentameter II, a joint operation with several other European countries,
is to be launched later this year.
Thousands of young women - mostly from eastern Europe - are trafficked
to Britain every year and forced into prostitution, a phenomenon blamed
on European Union expansion, lax immigration controls and the UK's
growing sex industry.
Concern over the traffickers' changing tactics comes before a
photographic exhibition on human trafficking which opens at St Paul's
Cathedral in London this week. The exhibition highlights 21st century
slavery to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the abolition of slavery.
Last month the Government pledged to sign the European Convention
against Human Trafficking, which allows victims to stay in the UK for
six months to recover from their ordeal and prepare to testify against
the traffickers.
Vernon Coaker, the Home Office minister, said that the Government would
launch an anti-trafficking "action plan" next month.

I have a theory and want some one out there to prove me wrong/right..ok..UK Question..

I think Police are well Paid Traffic Wardens, cos all they do is drive around looking to dish out tickets, and not catch REAL crooks.

Does this make any sense?

Anybody that knows or been through an interview like this..

I had an interview today for a police officer position. I am an auxiliary officer with this department and have been for 4 years, know most of the guys, higher ups, etc. Today was the interview for a full time position. The interview went well, however a few times, the police chief mentioned things like, "if you don't get it this time, we're going to be hiring a lot next year.." and "don't get discouraged, your application will remain on file for a year" He mentioned that a few times. He asked about 5 questions about me.

When he said that I started to get worried.. I go to all the training, calls, etc.. however, when they mention things like that, is that a bad sign? Or do they tell that to everbody? I know people on the department and I am sure my lieutenant on the department will put a word in for me?

During our group interview, he told everybody the same thing. However, why would he mention it a few times?

Why are Police in the UK so so lazy?... a 999 call goes out for their assistance, for example, ' i've got a CHAV brigade acting suspiciously in my street..'..the police turn up like 5 hours later and ask...'where they gone?, or can you give a description....' are the police on a coffee break or something...As for the Fire Service they can turn UP like 5 minutes after a call.
Does the Police care any more?

When I catch a drunk driver, time and time again the offender tells me that their Lawyer advised them not to do any Field Sobriety Test, Do not give a sample of their breath or blood, and invoke your rights and remain silent.

Now I know that the Lawyers are suppose to be on the clients side and not the Officers side when it comes down to trial, but would it not be better for everyone, Client, Officer, Public, if the Lawyer told the client "Don't Drink & Drive?"
