A grocery store parking lot is privately owned property that the owner has presented for public use. It's not private. As far as the curfew or driving underage... If in your jurisdiction, curfew violations or underage driving is an arrestable offense... and you're in public view in a parking lot... yes, the officer could choose to arrest you (or cite/summons you).
Let's simplify things a little bit, to provide for a larger understanding. If the police are where they are legally (driving on the street, walking down the sidewalk, etc.) and they see something illegal or see you do something illegal, they will be able to act upon it. It would be very, incredibly, difficult for you to create a circumstance where you'd be able to do something illegal in the PRESENCE of the police, AND THEIR HAVING KNOWLEDGE of the offense, and you be able to stand there tauntingly with them being unable to respond.
The question has nothing to do with your location (the parking lot). The question would be whether their contact with you was justified. Curfew... if you look REMOTELY young, they'd have justification for contacting you. Driving underage.... first they'd have to see you driving (hence DRIVING underage...) then if you committed ANY type of driving infraction (no matter how minor) or had ANY equipment violation (Unlit license plate for instance) They'd have justification to stop you. And don't forget any civilian complaints that might come up. If a nice lady complained to the store manager about those obnoxious kids in the parking lot... there's justification to contact you. The list goes ON and ON...
The real moral to the story is: Be on good behaviour, especially so whilst in public view. The world would be a better place if everybody did that anyways, right?

If there is a curfew in effect for minors, and you are not old enough to drive, then yes, you can be arrested. Even in an Albertson's parking lot, or any parking lot for that matter.

Uhh yeah, I got ticketed for breaking curfew when I was underage. If you get caught driving under age you are heading to th slammer dude! I used to be more afraid of going home after jail than going to jail!

Even though its a private parking lot it is open to the public. The police can arrest you and if they have a problem they just ask one of the market associates to sign the ticket or arrest papers.

A parking lot is not a Drivers Ed place. It is a privately owned property. Although , the laws protect you from invasion of private property, the property in question is not yours. So, in effect, you are trespassing, which is a crime.
The answer is YES.

It depends on the area, in big cities like NYC or Los Angeles there might be one in place, but since the city is so big nobody's actually going to pull you over. In smaller towns where I live, they could pull you over, depending on whether or not there is some type of ordinance in place. It's best to go check with your local government.

If you broke the law, there is no refuge where the police cannot take you into custody and arrest you.
