You could be charged with receiving or possession stolen property, However, if you did not know the car was stolen, there won't be any charges.
You are going to be out of a car and the money you paid for it. So, you are also a victim.

The car still belongs to the original owner. If an insurance company has paid out for the car then it belongs to the ins co.
In either event, they are the legal owner of the vehicle and can claim it back from you.
The only redress you have is against the person who sold you the car - you'd have to show that they had reason to suspect the car was stolen when they sold it, if you can do so you should win ay claim for your money back.
If you bought it on finance or with a credit card then contact the company, they may be able to help you.
If you bought it from a trader you can take action against them as they have a duty to ensure that the car wasn't stolen before selling it to you.

Buying a stolen car is a crime even when you do not know it as provided for under the law. Your remedy is to run after the seller.

As long as you can prove that you bought the vehicle in good faith, then the Police will take no action against you. The vehicle however, will be recovered and given back to the original owner or the insurance company if they have already paid the loser. You will lose your money I'm afraid.

If that happened to me, I'd go straight to the police. Make sure you have proper identification. And, I'd take along any papers, receipts, etc that were given to me when I purchased the vehicle. The police can help you pursue the matter further.

You give them the car back and are out all of the money.
If they prove you knew it was stolen, you go to jail also.
