I'm doing a research project on capital punishment, and I was wondering how much it costs on average to house a prisoner, maybe compared to how much it costs to provide for other things, such as students. This would be GREATLY appreciated!

its been three months, and the DA's office never let's me know what is going on, however, if we were to go to trial, i do not think that I am able to be a witness. I just want to know if I can drop the charges now.

Does anyone who works for/in the DEA feel just a bit of twinge when you see all the major phar-corp's who have become the biggest drug pushers/dealers of the 21st century....of course it's all LEGAL...

In this country, state sanctioned prejudice, hatred, and segregation was "enforced"right up to 1965, just as slavery once was. Because the law states something is legal or illegal does not make a precedent for what is right or wrong. If you would have told people 50 years ago abortion would be a common form of birth control, and as a 'right' is also enforced by the law, however immoral or stupid.

The war on drugs? The war on alcoholism? The war on addiction...when you stop the human being in it's tracks, and redesign it from the ground up, you might have a chance.

At present, anyone who looks away at one criminal(who buys credibility with TV ad's, and big $$$ lobbyist's), and target's the other is a crock at best.

But what of these entities such as the ATF...prohibition?

In VA if we are under 18, we cannot drive between 12-4am. Does this only pertain to driving? I want to camp out for a wii, and I would get there before midnight, so that woudn't be a problem. However my dad said that it pertains to both driving and being in public places/outside. On my temporary license it says that if you are under 18 you cannot drive during those late hours. It doesn't say anything about just camping out in front of a store. Your thoughts and answers are welcomed.

About a year ago I got pulled over for a DUI & I didn't do any of the test or submit to a breathalizer. Now I have been convicted of a Reckless Opp, served my time gone through treatment, go to at leats 3 AA's a week and have been sober since. Now here's the question, this isn't my first, its my second. I recieved one about 4 years ago and have been on probation since. Now I'm just about to get my lisence back and start moving forward with my life. When I went to get reinstated they told me that I have a warrent out for my arrest for violating my probation. They said that refusing to blow was a violation of my probation. I need advice - should I get a lawyer, will I see jail time, will they resuspend my lisence, are there fines. Please only serious awnsers. This is my first probation violation.

This guy is obviously a deluded **** faced loner, i mean he befriends prostitutes and lures them in, then he kills them. ok maybe we shouldnt just assume, but i think he is guilty.
He is a weak man who picked out easy targets.
As far as i'm concerned, lock him up and throw away the key, the law is always too soft on these harsh characters, they get released and end up preying on small children or the elderley, they prey on the easy targets.
I think he is guilty as a burglar caught in the act.
