Are looking to find out what they were charged with that got them into jail? If so just find out where they served time. Go to that local jurisdiction and file a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) on the name of the individual. You can get access to police reports and see what they were charged with. The best bet is to contact the court clerk in the jurisdiction. Most places now have a public computer that you can search on to find the information you are looking for.
