Currently, your reverse PIN will not call the police.
While the technology exists, there are no banks using it right now. The technology is called SafetyPIN, but has not been rolled out. It was conceived by Joseph Zingher in 1994 and patented in 1998. There have been a few attempts to legislate it's implementation, but so far no bills have made it mandatory.
The counter arguement from banks is that if someone is in a dangerous situation at an ATM, trying to remember and punch in their PIN backwards could make them fumble triggering an increased likelyhood of violence if the perpetrator suspects they are trying to notify police.

No! If that was a feature:
1) Your bank would have TOLD YOU.
2) You couldn't have a palindrome PIN (same PIN forward and backward).
3) The police would respond to countless reverse PIN calls because people are basically stupid and don't know their code.

No, reversing your pin does not call the police. There are people whose pin #s are 4444. How would the police be notified? Its an urban legend.

Urban myth. The technology is there, but it doesn't work, except perhaps in Chicago. Look it up on snopes.com.

I got an email that said that, but I am pretty skeptical about that. It will be interesting to see what kind of answers you receive.
