.. by speeding police vehicles, supposedly," on a shout", before someone in authority has the courage to bring these legal killers to book!? I have heard off duty police officers, on several occasions, joking about how they have sped through traffic and red lights, with sirens blaring, just for the hell of it!

Picture this...a man & woman (maybe his wife) are driving home after a romantic dinner (maybe their anniversary...ooooo), neither of them had had a drop of alchohol to drink yet, but they purchase a bottle of wine before going home. They then get pulled by a police officer who sees the unopened bottle sitting on the front seat between the couple (or maybe it's in the back seat). The couple are clearly 100% sober- BAC of 0.00%.

Now the question is...Can a police officer write a DUI ticket for the simple fact that there is a bottle of alchohol within reach of one driving? (remeber the bottle is unopened; also, you can assume that all field tests were passed and the driver passed the breathalyzer)
If yes...would a policer officer ever write the ticket?

As a corollary...Would a prosecutor ever fight to enforce the ticket?

My new roommate has a felony charge against him. He has been out for 5 years with a clean record. It was for posession of marijuana, not a violent charge. I have no fears of him being dangerous whatsoever. I want to know if I can have my guns (they are all registered,etc...) in my house or if I have to move them somewhere else.

The 2 muslim brothers, one shot by police, were clearly involved in some activity.
Why cant we be told what it was?
They had child porn on their PC and werent charged.
Thye had £28000 cash hidden, why , where was it from?
Did the police decide to sweep these offences under the carpet to appease the muslim poulation? Again!
After release they were being abusive to british soldiers on duty, with threats to kill,They werent charged..why?

A mans life is ruined if he is falsley accused of crimes such as rape, his name is known to all before he has time to even defend himself. The two men now being held, surely should not be known to the public. The men arrested may be completely innocent, yet we now all know their dealings with the women, and the lives they lead. This cant be right, Anominity for men is virtually non-existant, how can this be fair? Women are protected in many cases, even after being found guilty of pointing the finger, inorder to get a man arrested.

Do you think anominity, should be standard practise for all suspects until they have convicted? I do.

i'm a nanny and when i had a major tooth infection (no insurance) i stupidly stole painkillers and penicillin from my employer. got in a situation where my car was searched and the bottles were found. i have been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and given a court date. was told that i'll probably get probation. however, can my former employer charge me with anything such as theft or child endangerment?

My husband was pulled over last night by the state police and treated like a felon and they searched our vehicle just because they were looking for the same type of vehicle b/c of something to do with narcotics. They made him step out of the vehicle and walk backwards to them, empty his pockets, get patted down, tore our vehicle apart searching for drugs, even looked underneath it, then said sorry apparently you're not the person we're looking for, have a nice night. I guess they showed him a warrant type paper saying they could search any vehicle that fit our type vehicle? Are they allowed to do that? I thought they had to have a license plate number or at least suspect description. I didnt think they could just search any vehicle that looks like the one they're looking for. We have a Jeep and there's tons of them around here. If that would have been me and our daughter instead, I would have been scared to death.

Ok i heard this officer say "sometimes you have to take a life to save a life" So who of you agree and who of you disagree? I mean ok a bank robber is in a bank waving a gun around and the officer is there ... the officer decides to use lethal force...in the name of saving a human life... so , does he decide to play GOD? Think about it now, is the officer any less a murderer if he kills the robber? i mean murder is murder plain and simple. Or is their another "kinder" term for taking another life? That being said , is their then such a thing as a Christian police officer?

My Husband and I got into a huge Saturday. I called the police after he started slamming furniture around. The fight was physical. When the police got here it was not even three min. and they were arresting him for resisting arrest. All because he did not get off the phone right away. The tackled him to the ground infont of my kids. Then they started taking my statement and taking pictures of everything. Never did they ask me if I wanted to press charges. I thought they would just ask him to leave the house for a while and maybe get a ticket for disorderly conduct. Now the DA's office refuses to drop the charges. We both just want to go to anger managment classes and fix our marriage. What do we do? We live in Wisconsin just in case that makes a difference with the laws. Thanks for your help.
