And no it was not me, but a family member. They have 2 small kids and I will be the one to take them if the parents have to go to prison. Did not sell to Kids just happen to live across the street from a school. I am just trying to prepare my self for the outcome.One drug was crack and the other was weed.

I think it's safe to say you better get your house ready for the kids. School zone or not, they are going to do time because they were probably charged with "possession of narcotics with intent to distribute." That would get jail time anyway.

Variable penalties (yes, this is for TN) that rely on the type of drugs (i.e., whether they are classified as Schedule I, II, etc.). However, in a school zone ups the penalties automatically by one, so chances are, automatic felonies for doing so.

I agree with bmac. Start getting your house ready for the kids. In Calif. you definately get time for selling drugs in a school zone, makes no difference if sold to kids or not.

In Illinois you can get up to 20 years. Its a Class X felony here.
