IF an police officer makes an arrest for Dwi in Tx ,then when you see the arrest report the officer states that you refused a breath sample but then on just one page of the report there's a part that kinda shows that a breath sample was given. Could he just testify in court that that was just a typo, even thought the paper is a sworn statement. Or could the accused have enough with that to get the arrest report thrown outa court? Anyone with Tx criminal law expertise give me an answer.

ok my BF was put back into jail for 6 more months, he was already in perison for 2 yrs, they pick him up in the 7 of this month, today they said 6 more months in jail,

do you think that he will get out sooner for good behavior or something and how would he go about that?

he is a really good person just got into some trouble a few yrs ago and still paying for it.

Here is my question, I have a Maryland driver's license. I got pulled over in Virginia and got charged with reckless driving. Went to court today, and got my license suspended, now they paper says that I am not allowed to drive my car in Virginia, so does that mean I can drive in any other state? Also, what is the process of getting my driver's license reinstated? Do I go through the Virginia DMV or the Maryland DMV?

When you are off duty (your day off) do you have to intervine...For example if you are at the store and a fight breaks out or something do you have be break it up and act as if you are on duty..Can you get in trouble if you don't???

I got a speeding ticket 2 months ago in GA on 400 North. The officer gave me 11 over and did not put any points on my liscense. This is my first speeding ticket ever. I failed to pay the fine or appear in court. What happens now? Can I still pay the ticket with a late fee? Some of my friends told me they have a warrant out for my arrest, so I am scared. I am willing to pay the ticket with a late fee, just wondering how do I go about with this now?

I was speeding and didn't notice a police car behind me. I stopped at a red light, and still unaware that there was a police car behind me, started speeding again. When he pulled me over, he gave me two tickets for both accounts of speeding. He said that he didn't pull me over when he first saw me speeding because we were stopping at a red light and it would have been incorrect procedure. Is this true?

So in the last couple of months my perfect 8-year driving record has been marred with two four-point tickets in VA. I used to live in PA up until a year ago, so obviously I've learned that driving down here is extremely different. I think it is odd, however, that I didn't get any tickets the first few months I was here... glad I didn't, but that's besides the point. I am a perfectionist and it annoys me that I have negative points at all.

From what I have been able to understand, VA is different from PA in that you start with 0 (zero) points and either accumulate positive or a time of good driving, or negative from... not so good. In PA you start with positive and when you hit zero you're in trouble.

I know I should expect a letter in the mail about violating traffic laws now that I have -8 points in one year, but how, besides just waiting and not getting more tickets, how can I improve my record? I also found out that you aren't in serious trouble in VA (losing your license

Last night, I received a speeding ticket outside of Syracuse. The ticket is for 91 in a 65. However, I do not think I was going this fast. It was very dark out, there was alot of traffic, and I was in the middle lane in a pack of probably forty cars. However, I do drive a bright red car, and that may have been why I got pulled over. I do not want points on my license, or a moving violation, and I do want to dispute the ticket. I dont know if I should contact the court beforehand and see if I can take defensive driving, if I should go to court and hope the officer does not show up, or if I should go and try to have it reduced! Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

False charges of assault. No bruises. BF charged w/ assault. Exaggerated my statement. Can I get jail time? 6 months pregnant and no criminal background. Made exaggerated statement after pressure of family and now regret. Got him bailed out and a lawyer. Should I just tell the lawyer?

Last weekend I got ticket on driving right shoulder.
Becasue the long traffic jam by car accient so I done this mistake.
However, this is my first ticket I ever got from police for driving almost 6 yrs.

Anyway here is my questions:

About how much it might be?
Should I wright letter to the court? (How to write?)
The change to get not convicted? (either police show up or not)
How do I minimze the cost on ticket?
Can I still go to traffic school after I went to court?

im 16 and people always ask me where i want to go to college. i have decided i want to go into law enforcement and be a police officer. i need to know what is required in high school and where i should go after high school. i live in iowa and i dont want to go too far away. i want to know what i have to do to get into this field of work. if there are any officers out there i would like to hear their stories on how they got into that line of work. any info would be appreciated.

My husband & I won custody of my step daughter in Feb. of this year. We are following the court orders on standard possession exactly. (obviously if a father won custody of his child in Tx courts situation was pretty bad.) According to the orders this year is her year to be with her mom on Christmas break starting the day she gets released from school - Today - thru the 26th at noon. However, we still don't know if she is coming or not, we'll find out tonight. But we just found out she attacked her boyfriend she was living with last night and he filed assault charges on her. (by the way she had assault charges already from attacking her previous husband which was not the same man as mine). Apparently the house they are living in is in his name along with all the utilites. He is cutting off all of them today, & contacting the landlord. She even bragged she was clubbing tonight with her friends.
Do we have to let her go if the situation is unstable and possibly dangerous?

26oct2006 gila county superior court may have issued a warrant from its probation dept. and i try to check it on line but all i can get is pay us to tell you if you do or not and its supposed to be public info yet why i can't obtain this info freely is got me stumped so i want to know how i can access the court records to see if there are any warrants for my arrest etc...
