To be honest, I really don't, they use them too much in my area.

that's funny. I saw one the other day and was asking myself the same thing. There was a car in front of me and it showed 63 and I was thinking..which car is going 63 mine or that one..how do they know. I think it's just something else they thought of to waste taxpayer money. I never slow down and I have never gotten a ticket..they don't have camera's that I have ever seen.

There's more than likely a history or been a complain of speeders in the area. The "Your speed is" sign is merely a reminder of how fast you're going. The next logical step is speeds are not reduced is to place police to target the area for speed enforcement.

Look at it as a warning and slow down.

Oh, that is funny. People speed and kill other people all the time, especially young people who have no fear and who don't think they should ever be told what to do or how to do it. So, maybe , just maybe they are there to deter people from doing just that. If you are not breaking the law what are you worried abou? Sometimes people need to see how fast they are going so they can make a change and save lives and be safe. It is for the good of all, not just a few that laws are made.

I think they use it to collect proof in case you decide to fight the ticket in court. Which leads to the question: Do speed radars store this information into memory?

Wait 'til you get a speeding ticket in the mail. Then you'll really whine.
