When are we going to grow up about sex and prostitution? Even serial killers who do not directly target these desperately vulnerable women usually have, at the heart of their drive to kill, some form of sex-based dysfunction.

We condemn women who offer sexual gratification in return for money yet lionise women who seek out rich men to marry for money. And we sell everything from toilet cleanser to cars with sex. For those with sexual hang-ups our society must be like being an alcoholic required to work in a brewery.

Legalising prostitution is a no-brainer: the women are kept healthy and safe, do not pass on or acquire disease and get a fair share of the money that their work generates. The whole process is removed from the exploitative power of criminals. Police are freed to pursue more worthwhile targets.

My fiancee and I were harassed and bullied by an officer last night because her son was driving without a license. If I filed a complaint with Internal Affairs, would there be a resolution that involves his no longer being able to hide behind his gun and badge to abuse the normal law-abiding, tax-paying people he's supposed to be protecting? Or is it unreasonable to not expect them to protect their own?

On Thanksgiving evening (5:45pm) I've got pulled over on freeway with 65mph limit. Officer said I was doing 102 and he wrote me the ticket. Now I got a court notice that I must appear. Question is what would be the best plan of action for me, I had no tickets before in my life, I am 24. It is really sad because I had to cover for another person at work and was running late, had to take one exit on freeway and got ticket right in between :) Cop was at the side of the freeway and took off before I even approached him, I pulled over right away and he didn't have to pace me. I was going over a slight hill and cop was at the distance less than 1/5 - 1/8 of mile, I would say really close, so we couldn't see each other over the hill So, should I try to dispute the speed he posted by saying that he had too little time to clock my speed properly or ... Need help please.

I'm just curious at why people would hate the police. They risk their lives everyday but yet people complain about them constantly..If somone has a gun in your face, whos the first one thats gonna try to stop that person, If you're trapped in your vehicle and it's on fire, who's gonna drag ur booty out of it. I, for one, support the police with all i can, and i have a very gratious respect for what they do. Whos with me and whos against me on this?

My vehicle was towed and I called the towing company to see if could pick it up. It was 1am when I called and the employee was quite rude. I'm afraid I pissed him off enough that I think he might damage my car and steal items within it. My whole life is in that car, I stored all of my christmas presents for my family in there so that they wouldn't find them. It's so unfortunate to realize that they're missing when I pick up my car.

In the state of California, what should I do if find my car is damaged and see that there are missing items?

Do towing companies have the right to hold your car? I'm not from the area in which it was towed which is in Sacramento. I came from San Jose which it 2 hours away to visit a friend and I need my car to drive back asap.

plenty of info would help.

there is alot of crime and gang activity in my neighborhood which is most hispanic and black. My apartment has robberies every month and I too was a victim. A few nights ago I was looking out my window and saw a car pull up and some young men dressed like gang members (big shirts and baggy pants and using alot of profanity and playing loud rap music (it was 1 am). One got out and went into an apartment and the others remained in the car and then there was some kinda of argument and about 40 minutes later a guy got in the car and another screamed angrily at the other and the car drove off with the people inside playng loud music and hollering profanities out of the car. I want to call the police when I see this stuff but don't want to give my apartment number or have the police come to my door and don't want to waste the police's time if these guys are gone when the police get here. I am very concerned thought about these kinda people as I have to live around them.
