Any gunshot must be reported to the police and an investigation should be made. Do the right thing. The DA will look at the circumstances and decide what to do.

What would you do knowing that someone was negligent with a gun and might have killed another person despite his attempt to register and prove to society that he was trustworthy and responsible? On the other hand it could have been an accident.

But accidents with guns need to be looked at very carefully.

By the way, have you seen the internet video of the man who is telling students in a class about crime and guns and as he is showing the students a gun he discharges it ... right in the classroom. For such an idiot I would recommend that he never be allowed to touch a gun again.

My lord I can't believe this question is being asked! What do you think, just because you have a gun license it's ok to shoot through a window? First the vast majority of counties and states outlaw this...similar working to 'shooting into an occupied building' or 'disturbing the peace', etc.

Well...what happens? First it's morally wrong. If that doesn't stop you, you have a great chance of hurting, disabling or killing someone. Still not good enough? You're likely to get caught (even eventually)...and that means you are going to have a criminal record. Now what does that mean? Well kiss your gun license goodbye, your 'rights' as a citizen are gone unless the Governor gives you an honorable discharge which he wouldn't waste time on doing.

Follow this logic: Stop, think, if your thinking is still stupid, don't do it.

Well lets see. Depending on what state your in you could be charged with one or more of the following. Discharging a fire arm into an occupied dwelling, DFA within city limits, Assault w/ a deadly weapon, attempted murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony misdemeanor. I'm sure the local LE can find some more charges depending on the situation.

Revocation of license and jail time. In doing this, you are signalling that you are very unstable, and should NOT be in possession of guns. You most likely will have the book thrown at you, and rightfullly so.

First, suspension of your license. Second, the crime is called "Reckless Endangerment" (at least in NY). Any crime involving a weapon can reap severe penalty, including jail and/or heavy fine...pack a bag (on your court date) just in case.

the gun license does not permit you to fire at will. that is still an illegal discharge of a weapon. hopefully-you have been sterilized.
