that the only people who the laws of our country don't seem to apply to are the ones enforcing them?

This popular conventional "wisdom" is patently false. Just because you wish it so or have some grudge against authority doesn't make it so. People by nature hate to be corrected or penalized for their misdeeds. Everyone complains that traffic is going too fast in front of their house, endangering their children, but speed in front of someone else's home, endangering another child, because they are impatient.

The prisons are full of ex-cops. Police have community review boards and Internal affairs to investigate allegations of cop's misdeeds and by the nature of police work, Cops are highly scrutinized.

There is a saying that communities get the police they deserve, meaning that the overzealous slanderous media and second guessing by grand standing politicians create a scenario were cops choose to do nothing because their good intentions to protect their communities and keep criminals from hurting people will only be exaggerated and second guessed.

Every Cop knows first hand the consequences of a mistakes.

Yes, it's very ironic. So many people wonder why the young people of our country don't respect those in law enforcement....geez, how hard is that to figure out??? Some set such great examples!!
I realize not all of those in law enforcement are at fault, but there are many. The ones who honestly believe in what they do seem to be few and far between.

You are definately not mature enough to understand that there are 99 percent quality law enforcement officers compared to the one bad apple.

Now, don't forget lawyers. They go to jail even less frequently then the police do.
