Should Michigan law require all students to have passing grades to get or keep a driver’s license?

Why not in all states? With a law like this don't you think it gives students more of an incentive to make better grades? Better grades = better education, I wish they would have done that when I was in school. *

Why? Plenty of "good students" are rather poor drivers.

I think there should be restrictions on driving until the person reaches 18 years of age. That is the way it is in Wisconsin, and traffic accidents involving drivers under the age of 18 has dramatically dropped over the past 2 years (the amount of time it has been in effect).

Those 16 - 18 years of age can't drive with more than one other person of the same age range (or younger) in the vehicle, and they are not allowed to drive past midnight. They are also not allowed to drive and talk on their cell phones, and if they violate any motor vehicle laws during this time, they immediately lose their license until they turn 18 - and they still have to pay all of the fines and penalties. It has made our teens a little safer and smarter while driving, and they aren't as likely to screw around in their car. They don't want to lose the privilege of driving. They are on probation for those 2 years, and it has worked great. I think more states should adopt this policy. . .

While I understand teh argument that a more responsible student will get better grades......grades have NO effect on what makes you a good driver! I have cited MANY "A" students for doing totally idiotic things. I think it depends on if they have others in the car with them, which is typically the case. Peer pressure to drive like an idiot! Just the fact that a kid with a 140 IQ is hanging out with a 90 IQ doper will suck brains from the 140 kid and make him dumber! I HAVE SEEN IT!

If the regulation there is eighteen, then your license will be null and void 30 days when you bypass to Arizona. In maximum states you need to record new manage (and different adjustments) interior 30 days. in case you nolonger meet the requirement for a motive force's license, you need to attend. Are you confident they don't have a graduated or intermediate license application that lets you force in some means until eventually you get a each and daily license at 18?
