I have some delinquint medical bills from the last 3 years of cancer treatment. Its not really a huge amount, but I am still unable to work, and barely making it on disability. The hosp sold the debt to a local collection agency. The collection angency keeps calling and wanting me to pay off in full. I dont have that kind of money, so I keep asking to set up a payment plan at 20 per month. That is an amount that I can afford.

However, they keep telling me they wont accept a payment plan of anything less than 75 per month. THey will accept my money ofcourse, but wont set my up on payment plan.

I have heard that that is illegal. Is this true? Or is there someone that can tell me where to find the laws about this?

Can a learning institution fail a student because of a mental impairment that was being investigated at the time that the course was being taken.
Situation: Someone I know was in a car accident and didnt know they had a concussion. Because of this, there was memory loss, where new information could not be retained no matter how much was studied and covered. They knew the information when they were covering it and grasped the concepts and was able to relay the information to other students in such a way that they could understand how to do it. But in the morning when she went to class, she couldnt remember any of it. After the end of the semester, she had gone to finish her neurologist testing, and it was discovered that she is having post concussion syndrome. Is there anything on the books that could help her if she were to appeal the grades she recieved (she failed nearly everything and she is typically a straight A student) to help her stay in her program of study?

My ex-girlfriend and I bought a car together im the co-owner and we ended up breaking up, she said i could take the car cause she physically can not drive the car, and because my other car couldnt probably make it to denver from maryland, I drove to denver cause that is where my family is. When i got here i was expecting to have a job that was like two months ago i moved here, I just now got a job and am two months behind on car payments, at before i was left she said she would help with the payments until i was able to doit myself, but then she said she couldnt doit.. I told her i couldnt doit on my own so i thought it would be best to have the car voluntaraly repossesed and pay off the rest together. I really want to get rid of the car, cause i cant afford it on my own with having to also take care of my son, paying for daycare on top of everything else. I dont know what to do she was saying she was going to call the police and say i stole it cause i told her i was going to have it repossessed.. what can i do

I was given a job offer for a fixed 3 year period in the form of a signed contract and I accepted it verbally, but did not sign it.. (The employer delivered it quickly, I verbally accepted it and my employer then drove away in her car.) The next day I handed in my letter of resignation to my previous employer, even stating in the letter where my new job was... and also showed my letter of resignation a few days later to my new employer. My new employer 10 days later coerced me into signing a new contract with a 6 month probationary period. My new employer then fired me within the probationary period. Did I have a first contract when I accepted it verbally and resigned my previous job? Is the first contract invalid, or valid? Must I have signed it, for it to be a contract? Also, the second contract did not recend the first contract. It has no recession clause deleting the first job contract. We are now in court with this and I would very much appreciate your help here.

How many true Americans here agree that the borders should be closed to protect American citizens from another terrorist attack?

How many of you agree that the HONEST way to enter America is through INS and not by jumping the gate?

Do you want to see another 9-11?

It is right for people jump the gate at the border and then work in America (with fake ID's) without having permission from the immigration department?

What's your intake?

Alright,

What if you took a picture of a celebrity, and changed that picture in a paint program. Manipulating it.
For example, you changed the eye features/shape/ took out the lips and placed different lips, changed eye color, modified the nose to be bigger, and put elf ears on the celebrity, even go as far as changing the celebrities's expression.
To a certain extent of making the celebrity not really look like the celebrity, if anything it would look like a caricature.
Will that violate that celebrity's copyright if she/she copyrighted their face???

My HOA's improper placement of sandbags in the common area channeled water and mud to my property instead of the storm drain. The drains in my yard filled with mud my yard was flooded. I would like to recover money not only to repair but also build a drainage system to protect my yard in the future. Would a judge go for that?

Ok, I know this is stupid but I thought i could get away with it. I tried to steal an energy drink and a tray of carrs deli food, as i was leaving, some black chick grabs me from behind, so i panic, and I try to get free of her grasp, and doing so, i fell to the ground on my knees, which really messed them up bad, and apparently took down the black chick with me, and some other dude came out and pretty much jumped on me, so they take me back, and the cops say they are charging me with a felony, robbery 2 or soemthing, because of assault and theft, apparently the stupid ****** hurt her knee. So all this stupid bs goes by, and the next day, the security from carrs calls my work and tells them that I cant work because of what happened, and I was never even in Jail, and im fully capiable of working, so is there any way I can like get out of this or sue someone or anything? cause this is complete bull ****, i never hurt anyone, especially on purpose, and who the hell would call someonejob

So I moved into a duplex last month. Our duplex faces another set owned by the same lady. The people across from us and the people next to us are all college students. We all get along just fine, and we all have speculations about the neighbor kitty corner to me.
She is around her mid 40's maybe. She doesn't work. She has a steady supply of odd people come to her house and stay for 10-15 minutes then leave, and based on the physical condition of the people we think she sells meth or coke. She come over at random times and asks us to drive her 60 miles to one of the bigger cities in my state. We never do. The people who come over are usually intoxicated or look wired and have a tendency to block the bottom of the drive way we all share.
On the flip side she has two small children. It could be that she is just weird and the rest of us are too creative. I don't want to call the police if this isn't true. Especially if it could involve her children being brought into it. Any ideas?

If, down the road, I can no longer take care of her and need to place her in a nursing home, how can I keep the state from getting her assets if she needs to go on Medicaid to help offset some of the nursing home charges?

Every other drug is out of your system in days. It doesn't catch alcoholics so the whole drug testing industry is based on busting pot smokers who are not dangerous, show if anything an extra attention to detail and creativity attributes you would think a company would want. I agree heavy machinery, doctors, bus drivers should be tested but what if you are applying for a job in customer service, housekeeping or cook. Studies have proven that those work places that test are no safer statistically than those that don't so why do we continue this insanity.

I was contacted by this company. They review my resume on careerbuilder.com and so has many other campanies. But because of my background I can't seem to find employment. I applied at all different types of buisness. They seems to be interested until they review my application and see the part that asked have you ever been convicted of a crime or felony. I don't lie. I explain the situation and tell them this is the only felony I have. But after the interview I get know calls back. Even after we have talked about my start date. This because they looked a convicted felony part. Should I try to apply for this job and get shot down like so many times before? I don't want to be a quiter. i just don't want to waste AmericanIncome Insurance Company or my time.
