I'm just wondering...
Does these rights have anything to do with the Declaration of Independence?
If they do can you please list some?

I'm currently paying child support to my ex for my son. Can my ex and I make our own contract where I would buy a house and sign it over to her (and my son) instead of paying the set amount of child support each month?

Would the State allow that? It is in the best interest of the child and technically I am providing a roof over his head..

I am interested in the opinions of others' as to whether Les Miles' contract with LSU, which enforces payment of a penalty to LSU upon acceptance of a position at UM is lawful or not.

In Les Miles' contract with LSU, there is a specific exemption which says that if he leaves LSU for UM (and only UM) that he must pay a 1.25 million dollar penalty to LSU.

If it is lawful, why? Conversely if it isn't, why?

I haven't seen this question asked anywhere in the media yet and was curious. Thanks for your thoughts.

If it isnt true and you do have to take the written test, how long after can you get your real license? If you dont mind let me know I'd really appreciate it. thanks alot!

My son is in his sophomore year in Catholic High School and he was the victim of bullying since his first year by some older kids. Unbeknownst to me he got a knife from his cousin to bring with him to school for protection.
When he went to his locker in between classes that group of kids that bothered him were there and they slammed his locker on him and began mocking them. From what he said happened was that he told them to F off and leave him alone and one of the other guys shoved at him. My son then took out his knife and he slashed it against that kids arm and he began bleeding very badly. My son just took his books and went to his next class while that other guys friends were screaming for help.
The police were called to school and my son was arrested. He is out now because he is a minor and under my supervision but the family who my son hurt is sueing us for assault with a deadly weapon and my won was expelled.
Any chance we can walk away from this? What cane we do?

IT shouldn't be that any religion is the national religion especially in such a diverse country as canada. but yet for a school field trip my sons class is going to learn about a historical victorian christmas. I don't appreciate the PUBLIC school system being an avenue to stuff religion down my sons throat!!!! IF I wanted him to learn his religion in school i would have put him in a catholic school.
Does anyone else feel that his has no place in our schools which are supposed to be an eduactional platform TOLERANT of all ethnics and creeds and children with various religious backgrounds. My point made. Any comments?

One thing I NEVER understaood is why is it against the law to show ones natural body. We were all born naked and it what we really look like. How can there actually be LAWS against you beening in natural form in public? Do you think this is silly or worng and as we eveolvewe may shed this taboo?

many judges must decide a case on the "spirit" of the law -

Some clever defendants may find an obscure loophole to free a guilty offender - but at times it's the "spirit" and intention of a law which is obvious -

Does turning one's back on the Constitution violate the "spirit of the law"?

I was named in a civil lawsuit in Kentucky. I no longer live there and live in another state. Of course they have been trying to locate me and serve me for 6 months, today at my home address of my parents they get a certified mail from the Sec. of State of Kentucky and its a summons. Is this legal service or do they physically have to serve me the summons? I have never heard of being legally served via USPS...

Thanks

A guy sold me a fake turquoise pendant on Ebay.

It had grinding marks on the setting.
Real stones are not set and grinded to fit setting.
The stones also did not pass a burn test. Real stones do not burn. Rock does not burn or melt.
The real thing gets soot on it which rubs off.
This is a real test others know about. I did not make this up.

I sent the pendant back to him with signature conformation.
It took Ebay’s Resolution Center to settle my Claim.
They got my money back but I think that seller got kicked off Ebay.
He said he will sue me for defamation of caricature.
Now a certified letter is at my post office from an attorney in
Waco, TX. The Seller is also from Waco so I am guessing the seller is now trying to sue me.
What if I never sign for this certified letter?
Do they send someone out to my home to serve this letter?
Or do they just have to put an ad in the paper?
I don't show up, I loss.

I just discovered that my mother's house is in foreclosure. Apparently a Notice of Default was filed back in August.

I did not find out about it until last week when I learned that a Notice of Trustee's sale had been filed. The trustee's sale is scheduled for December 13.

How do I stop the trustee sale so that I can help my mother put her house up for sale and recover the little equity that she has left in her house.

Neither my mother or I have the cash or can get the cash to pay the arrearages on the mortgage in time to stop the trustee's sale.

Also I want to take legal action aganst the mortgage brokers involved. They stripped the equity out of my mother's house.

The mortgage brokers had been refinancing my mother's house every year each time charging her huge prepayment penalties and huge fees. My mother received very little money.

The mortgage payments are over two times the amount of her income from social security and a small pension.
