What are those rules?

In my particular region, police are famous for being arrogant and talking down to you. I guess they assume there is never payback. I happen to be in a profession where I am paid for jury service, and consequently I serve on a jury pretty much every year. For reasons that are not clear, most of the time I serve in a criminal case. And if the only evidence is the word of a cop, I vote not guilty. More then once, the jury is polled, and I am the only person to say not guilty. But I think 99% of the general public will just go along because they are programmed. I have an advanced degree and have never broken the law (except for traffic violations) in my life. If they want to change, then I will

By the way whenever you criticize the police, someone with an IQ of a bullfrog will say "Well, if you don't like police, don't call 911." That's a deal. Refund my money for police services, and stay out of my hair when I shoot the burglar.

As black people commit 70% of gun and street crime isn't it time we made them pay extra tax to help pay for the police? Likewise Polish people and East Europeans control large parts of the illegal prostitute and sex industry, they should pay loads of extra tax as well.
We could have a black tax (like a green tax) and another Pole tax?

" Lawmakers on Beacon Hill are set to consider a proposed ban on spanking children in the commonwealth. " I just read in the newspaper.

The problem is the current law does not say or guide about what’s prohibited and what’s not!
So people that violate are findind holes in this law and does who just want to give a few "slaps" are being punished.

Now we have " brats" yelling at grocery stores and cursing parents. I dont have any kids but I feel like telling them: Make whatever needs to make this kid quiet!!!!

Other situation was a friend of mine has a 15 year old that told her mother that she would call the cops or tell the school that she was being " spanked" if she couldnt get what she wanted..

How far we are going with this?

The bonds are in my name, my name is the ONLY name on the bond. They were purchased for me by my deceased father and they are for $3500. She took them and put them in her safe deposit box. What should i do? She hasn't supported me in almost a year and I'm about to have a baby and I could really use the money.

I'm very confused on what I can do. Last year, when I was 15, I got caught driving without a license and without valid insurance. The cop was very rude and handled the procedure incorrectly. The arrest was rude and I was threatened and cuffed immediately before they even asked for valid information. The only reason I was driving is because my boyfriend (my ex now) was drunk and (he was very abusive as well not to mention he was 20 at the time) literally threatened me into driving. Now, I can't get my license until I turn 18, but that really isn't going to work for me. I'm 16 now and I work 2 jobs, plus am in high school and college. Does anyone know anything I can do to appeal this or does anyone know any good lawyers that aren't extremely expensive? Thanks.

The NRA's website has a section on various states' gun laws. According to their site (http://www.nraila.org/statelawpdfs/WISL.pdf) "State law does not prohibit the open carrying of a firearm, but a person should exercise caution when carrying a firearm in public".

I called the police just to make sure and they said that I would be arrested for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Does anyone know who's right?

Just to clarify my motives - I'm not looking to be John Wayne and carry my gun at the mall. I do quite a bit of hiking (sometimes at night) and I just want a way to protect myself.

Republican states were historically slave states and slave territories.

“It is, sadly, a simple fact that torture was once a deep part of the American way of life, inextricable from slavery and racism, for a very long time. It was worst in the South, but not unknown elsewhere - well into the twentieth century. The ease with which some in the new GOP reconcile themselves to it with respect to terror suspects, as long as it is directed at "the other," cannot be fully understood outside this context. "Waterboarding," for example, a torture technique the majority of GOP candidates cannot bring themselves to condemn and which the new attorney-general refuses to declare illegal, was used against African-Americans to extract false confessions in the South. And lynching was often accompanied by gruesome torture.”

obviously to christians it is a sin, but was this nation not founded with the idea of separation of church and state? benjamin franklin and thomas jefferson, two very important founding fathers were deists, not christians. and the christianity of even george washington is debatable!

anyway, even if we're gonna define marriage as "between a man and a woman," why not have civil unions which we give equal rights? then all those babies that weren't lost due to abortion could have a good home. just because people are gay doesn't mean they are child molesters, and i doubt that there are more gay pedophiles than straight pedophiles. anyway, just looking for why anyone wouldn't gay people to have the legal right to unite other than the fact that they don't support seperation of church and state.

In england our prisoners are not made to suffer for what they've done. I, for one, think this is wrong. They are treated humanly, because some idiots decided that they should be. So according to these people a murderer should be treated with respect, and shouldn't be treated like the horrible person he is.

I would just like your views on whether you think this is right or not.

Will the homeowner be held liable , will the remaining robber still be charged with crime?

This is a union job. It boils down to 2.5 hours a week more pay at time and a half for some employees while others do not get the same paid lunch or breaks? The employees are performing the same jobs as each other, so it isn't according to job, looks to be more by "like and dislike".....Just didn't think this sounds right? Any guidance would be appreciated. We have figured this would be anywhere from $12,500-$30,000 in back pay that is due to each employee that has not been getting the paid lunches and breaks

With our prisons overcrowded as they are. What do we do with all the murderers and violent criminals? Should we do away with them? Because they showed no mercy for their victims and to show society we had enough of that behavior. Or should we just lock them up with free room and board? Telling society we will tolerate and condone that type of behavior. Should we have zero tolerance for violent crimes or put them back out on the streets? Because they where such good people society made go wrong.
