I'm very confused on what I can do. Last year, when I was 15, I got caught driving without a license and without valid insurance. The cop was very rude and handled the procedure incorrectly. The arrest was rude and I was threatened and cuffed immediately before they even asked for valid information. The only reason I was driving is because my boyfriend (my ex now) was drunk and (he was very abusive as well not to mention he was 20 at the time) literally threatened me into driving. Now, I can't get my license until I turn 18, but that really isn't going to work for me. I'm 16 now and I work 2 jobs, plus am in high school and college. Does anyone know anything I can do to appeal this or does anyone know any good lawyers that aren't extremely expensive? Thanks.

Try taking responsibilty for your actions, instead of blaming your ex-boyfriend and the cop. There are consequences for your actions, and a judge isn't going to care that this "isn't going to work for you".

You have the choice now of acting like an adult and getting your life in order, or continue acting like a little *****. What will you choose?

Doubt you will see a license before you turn 18. Courts don't really care what "works for you". This punishment was made to lessen the chance of underaged/non-licensed persons from driving.

Guys like your ex have reigned terror on many women i am one and the cops always blamed me for everything too as for speeding your liscence up i dont know but i do know cops are heartless and mean and they treat us like trash so in short try and stay out of a cops view at all costs and should you find yourself in a bind never call on them for help they will only make everything worse and youd be lucky if they didnt turn it around on you and lock you up

tYou should have thought of that before you broke the law. Like the old saying, don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Gotta tough it out Honey and learn from the experience.

BTW glad to hear he is your EX boyfriend.

unless you have witnesses, or, access to the dash cam, if the cop car was so equipped, it'll be a strict case of your word against his, also, your ex needs to be hammered as well for forcing you to drive...
