Legal caps on the amounts awarded.
Check with your state and federal to see if any apply.

If there are none, or higher than what you want....its best to ask higher and hopefully get offered somewhere in between.

So there may or may not be caps for discrimination and pain suffering as a result of that.
Thats what youll have toprove.

As for the other infractions, same goes...check to see.
If its small claims court...theres $5000 limit.

Sounds to me like you havent retained cousnel as they will be the one familiar with this

There are two classes of compensation you can
recieve from a civil suit:
Compensatory damages: for which you must
show real monetary losses, and
Punative damages: which are awarded to you
by a jury as punishment for the offense against
you by the defendant.
You need legal advice to determine what you
might recieve based on the facts of the case.

Either the judge or the jury decides the amount. It depends on the state and various other things not mentioned in your question.
