downtown washington dc? I'v already check on it with name's such as these "meter maids, meter reader" and they are the improper names for this position. I'm not talking about police officer's either.They walk around on foot or drive the little white cars.as a matter of fact how does one apply for this position? I'm very serious

The correct term is called: Parking Enforcers

Check w/ the city council / town hall to find eployment oportunitues. Good luck!

A guy I used to hunt with does that job in another city. His title is "Parking Enforcement Officer". Tom is not a sworn police office and is unarmed. I suppose different areas use different titles and have different requirements but Tom is just average guy. I don't think he even has an AA degree.

They used to call them "meter maids", but a few of the guys were offended because it made them sound like servants. The rest of the guys were proud of their title.
