Mostly it is the people who have uncontrollable urges on their own part who want to impose controls on others.

There are many places that have fewer controls, from Nudist camps, to whole "Clothing Optional" towns that are like gated communities, but with stores etc.

Western Europe is less weirded out that way than the USA, but there are plenty of places that are worse. In general the more Right Wing Fundamentalists the worse it is.

Also the more uptight and prudish the population, the more rapes and worse that occur rather than less. Often the need to avoid any possibility of sexual arousal, no matter how silly the excuse, is that there is a significant percentage who are so totally unsocialized, they would attack anything that caught their attention.

There are subcultures that have grown up since the sixties that have a great deal more sexual and body openness. There is not much more actual sex going on and even perhaps less, but they are very much more pleasant environments to live in, and very much less of the pathologies that plague the outside world, both sexual and otherwise.

It is because of this that they are quiet and discreet, and the only way to find one is to be invited. I have known several that were "discovered" and faced ruin from enthusiastic joiners who had no clue as often as outside opposition.

Until the culture does not produce RWA pathologies that ruin life for everyone, there will need to be some restraint of the public sphere, but it should focus as much as possible on the rights of others, lest it cascade the other way and men and women both have to walk about in chadores to prevent outbursts of sexual insanity in ever more deranged members of the society.

I'm a nudist, I thought that too. But here's my answer.

First, not of all people have the same point of view as you have about nudism. For most people, seeing naked bodies can arouse them sexually and the thought can drive them to go mad. For this reason, raping, underage sex, sexual abusing, etc, happened because people who can't control their action become criminals. By placing ourselves naked in public, we are triggering those people of doing so and increasing the chance for the criminals to act.

Also for this reason, a long time ago when people don't have law, the religions put this forbidden to protect its community.

We can't tell which are which, the potentially bad people and a good one. So the law protect us all generally.

If a country allows for a nudist camp, or beach, it's a different matter. People going there could be a bad ones too, but the point is that there are places where people going there agree with the term and conditions. They are going there on purpose, and nothing to do with general public where everyone can access it. The criminals will be prosecuted anyway.

It is illegal because the law says so
The law says it is illegal because it is wrong for many reasons which include:
1. It is tempting
2. It can be a cover to commit crime
3. It is disturbing and indecent
4. ... and many more ...
Yes we were born naked. However, for healthy people, as we grow older, we stop many things that we naturally do as kids like wearing diaper or peeing on the bed, or crying to get a piece of candy
It may be pardonable for 1 year old to walk around naked, not for adults. I advice that people should not go around naked because we might think they are insane. LOL

Because insurance is too expensive as it is!! Can you imagine how many wrecks and how many full hospitals from the whiplash alone? Some looking at some looking away!! Less than 1/2 of the male population is capable of self-control. Although it would really take away the need for cops to be scared of concealed weapons!!!!1

Considering the way people are now, being uptight and self-centered, I don't think they could handle walking around naked. It's is illegal probably because if you're seen that way, it opens up too many possiblites for people to rape and fondle others, lude gestures with body parts (whether you like that type of stuff or not) not to mention possible public health issues.

Well, I would oppose it mainly because of children. Why 'expose' them to that?
Also, half the fun of being with someone new is exploring what others can't see. Seems to me all the fun would be gone if everyone were naked.
